ah awesome, thanks mate, erm yeh regular CL ball tbh i dont mind which ever looks best! and as for the ball to be replaced the one third in on the top row, all red team geist one.
i triedadding the patch earlier but failed! AFS stuff started coming back to me tho and i think i know how to mend it just havnt tried again yet, i was getting the option for the balls before the game but they werent showing up in game. im sure i can fix it though.

ok, i won't be home for most of the weekend, so i'll rpobaly have it done by monday or tuesday.

What error messages did AFS Explorer display when you attempted to install the patch?

Can i be brutal by making a request here? ;) Is there a possiblity you could add the Derbystar Brilliant Design (official Eredivisie ball, http://www.totaalsport.nl/data/14626.jpg ) This should make playing the Eredivisie more realistic. :D

I understand when you do not accept requests, in that case consider this post as unwritten. ;)

Btw, also your emblems patch is great and makes the EPL much more realistic, thanks!!!

Are you sure you have been patching the files using the correct folders?
ie. patching cv_0a.img with the folder named cv_0a.img
Cause there are some people that did not understand my folder layouts.

Also, if you are using Vista 64-bit, have you tried right clicking explorer, then click "Run as Administrator"?

And try the latest AFS Exlporer:
http://www.pesboards.com/showthread.php?t=87

Was there any error messages by the way, or did it all "seem" to go all smoothly?

i had to regenerate the AFS giving the files more space but apart from that all seemed to run smoothly. running XP and folder wise, surely im patching cv01 to cv01 and cv05.img to cv05.img? if im being a birk and being dumb forgive me, i can normally work these things out! it always annoys me when people whine saying they cant do something when really theyve hardly tried :p but im stumped unless im being dumb.

lol, nice to see that at least it seems to work 50% right.

Anyways, I recommend you to try using Game Graphic Studio now:
http://www.pesboards.com/showthread.php?t=75

With this utility, you can actually see the graphic files within each .bin files instead of blindly replacing the .bin files within the .img's.

The usage is very similar to AFS explorer.
Simply load up the .img file, then within the user interface, locate the appropriate .bin file (have to do them one by one in this utility).
Once you have located the .bin file, right click on it and select "Import a file over this one..."
Then when the open dialog box opens, locate the corresponding .bin file within the downloaded patch folder.

I'm pretty sure this would resolve the problem as you can "see" the ball textures within each of the .bin files so you would know which one is needed to be replaced.

Really hope this helps you, and whether this procedure solves the problem or not, let me know.

I've got a texture for the Derbystar ball, will be done soon too.
I'll release this at the same time as the ball patch with the Champions League Ball (seperately).

I would be replacing the Nike yellow/purple 90 total ball for both patches unless there are other suggestions before I start rearranging the balls around.

oh yeah forgot about the champs league ball,
the yellow nike one is fine yeh!
oh and i had a look using game graphic studio but my problem is still a mystery as it all seems to be correct, just that one ball in game! but i can live with it.

thanks for your time mate.

Wow! That is amazing progress man! Very much appreciate it.

But in my opinion you should not replace the yellow/purple Nike ball, as that ball is used by alot of PL-teams and PSV atm (although it's a newer version they're using, the T90 Omni Hi-Vis)

But when I use GGS I can chose which balls I want to add and which one is replaced, isn't it? Then, I can make the choice for myself.

Thanks again for all your work, you're making this game far more realistic!!!

Yup, you can rearrange the balls how much you like in GGS.
-You're welcome, and thanks for choosing my ball patch(es).

Enjoy. ;)

Ok man, I installed and it worked!!!
Small problem is that I think it's flipped/mirrored, but I don't care so much as you never see the ball so far zoomed in. See below:

Also, I have some other small questions:
- Because I want to keep the Puma Ball I created "my own ball patch" with some of your balls and some original. Now I want to create my own preview image (cv05.img). Editing your preview img will work in Photoshop, but how do I save that image (png) to the unnamed_136.bin file-format so I can import it to the img-folder?
- Can I rename the balls, so that it not says "WE-PES 2003" but "DERBYSTAR..."?

Again, thanks for your work!! You make this game so much more realistic. :D

Oops, i'll get that fixed soon.

When you want to create your own unnamed_136.bin for cv_05.img, simply load my very own version into GGS. Then you would have to right click the main canvas (it would have the GGS logo there by default), select "Open", then browse for your own edited .png file.
When your own .png file has loaded, simply drag and drop the image over the existing one on the image display bar at the bottom.
The unnamed_136.bin would automatically be changed.

About the name changing of the balls, yes it is possible, but I don't know which .bin file the data is stored in this year.
You would also need to have abit of hex-editing knowledge to change the ball names.
I'll post on this thread when I found out which file it is stored in.

Hey deckz great patch man! iv installed the fourth and it's great. One problem though is that I dnt have the blue total 90 omni...

Are you using another patch that requires the use of KitServer?
If so, then there may be files that override the alterations within the original .img files just like what olsam has said a few posts prior to this one.
If this is the case, simply remove the .bin files within the patch's cv_01.img folder

You can also try using Game Graphic Studio to see exaactly what files you have within a particular .img file.

let me know what you find out.
