Hi All,

Forgive me if this post does not desearve a new thread.

I managed to get a hold of PS2 version of PES4. I love the new features (though I haven't found them all), and LOVE the gameplay. Its more realistic now than ever. But the slowdown is killing me...I don't know about you guys but when I play this game, I am so much into it that I forget its only a game..and when I play with friend and it slows down in the d-box....I can almost kill anyone...

So I managed to get PC version of PES4. Otherthan the usual of a PC game troubles (vs a PS2)...I like it so far. I haven't seen any slowdowns...but I must admit I haven't played it much in PC...

But I cannot...cannot...use keyboard to play this game...occasionally I would play PS2 version with friends...and so I need a gamepad...what do you guys recommand? I know there is a converter/adapter of PS2 controllers for PC...but I heard analog sticks don't work...My next choice is logitech dual action...is this good? can any recommand? can anyone recommad any other pad...my only requirements is that it has be similar to PS2 controller (need the dual analog with R3 and L3 button, 4 action buttons, 4 d-pad button, and 4 triggers)...

thanks a lot and forgive if this post is too long...I got carried away...

i have logitech wireless rumble pad II
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=11,CONTENTID=9069

the gamepad is great, same as for sony, no wires, everything workin, very
comfortable and got 2 year warranty..

but if u dont want a wireless, buy dual action pad, its the same as rumblepad II but with a wire
tryed them both and didnt find a flaw....

hope i helped

Got converter from Radioshack..

Hello,

Instead of buying a gamepad for PC, I bought a adapter that adapts a PS2 constroller for PC, through USB. I got it from Radioshack and its from wasaki. Here is the link

http://www.radioshack.ca/estore/Pro...ory=Playstation+2+Accessories&product=5810257

Its CAN $16, so I wanted to try it before I get a PC gamepad. So far..it has been great...All buttons work, the dual analogs and everything (I do the 360 move!)

I will post if there is any problem I find. In the mean time I am recommanding it to everyone I know.

As far as I know, not 1 complaint has been made about this converter.

I use the PS2 convertor that I got from here and it works absolutely fine with my PS2 pad. Everything works great, analogue sticks included - this was on PC PES4 demo + retail versions. I'd recommend this convertor.

I have a usb PS2 pad converter. It works fine but i am wondering something, are there only 8 directions on the analog due to pc specifications or is it possible in any way to have the same 360 degrees analog directioning like PS2 with different converters or direct gamepads on PC?

Those are the only directions that you can use in the game. It's not a pad issue.
You can gain slight extra directions when using R1 to sprint dribble and then also hold R2 to change direction slightly.

I can only say it once again. After trying several gamepads and converts I finally found the true master of Gamepads fo the PC The Nyko Airflo... this pad is great, it works, it rules and there is no problem moving between PS2 and PC as the keys have exactly the same layout!! and best of all it is cheap and solid, must have played more than a 1000 PES3 games and 200 PES4 games with mine.. my kids use it and it has been on the floor several times and still works like a charm!!

Best regards

I've got a Logitech Dual-Action and I personally feel it isn't suited to PES. I have been playing the PS2 versions for the past couple of years but got it on the PC for its online play. The Dual Action just doesn't feel right, passes go the wrong way etc. I've ordered a usb convertor so hopefully I won't have to make any more excuses when I get beat!

ok, but i just bought a logitech dual action, so i can't really say i want to spend more money.
it should work allready, or there should be a patch, aught to be simple?

but probably it will end with me buying one of those and a new ps2 controller(don't have one).

how much will that cost me alltogether?

regards

f*ck! i now got an adapter like the one you ppl mentioned, only it isn't the play.com one because i don't have a credit card. i use it with a hipgear ps2 controller, ok not orginal but the controller works perfectely in it's setup program, but do you think it works in pes4? or even fifa 2005, NO.
and someone just said the game works fine, this is not fine, do you have to have a credit card or live in uk to play the game?
