for the answer....its a 1 tp 2 second hold on both shoot and direction button

so depending on how high you want the ball to go...hold the shooot button. the lonegr you hold it the harder and higher it goes i think

then AFTER you have pressed the shoot button...keep your hands on the direction you want the ball to travel for about 1 to 2 seconds and let go and it should go to that direction relative to how long you pressed the direction

2 secs might be a tad bit too much if your players hasnt got a penalty star

What's the important key to it? is it the analog or holding the shooting button?

its almost like you chose to ignore what we have written

they are both important.
the longer you hold the shoot then the harder it goes i think..or maybe higher...liston to what stormrider posted above

but definately the longer you hold it in any direction determines how far in that respective direction it goes

so start by tapping shoot and hold the direction you want to sent it for about 1 sec , then 1.5 secs then 2 secs..etc etc.

then press the shoot button for a while and see how far and high and hard it goes

I always find press shoot first, it's literally like a feather-tap for a low one, and a light press for a high one, anything more and you'll sky it.

Once you've done that, press the direction you want to go as he starts to make his run up. Again, literally a light press.

Does anyone even bother looking for threads before posting new ones anymore?

We just finished our first peno shoot out here - result was 1-0 on pens! Defo harder to master some of the basics which makes for a better [if at times tougher] gaming experience! Must lay off holding down the directional btton in future! :)

How the hell do you move the keeper when trying to save pen?? you move your analogue stick to one side and X or B and SFA happens

They did change it :shocking:

Now you do as before - press square (shoot) to start the run, press to the direction you want to shoot AND THEN press tap up for a second to hit high or dont to leave it on the ground.

The length of time you hold the shoot button does not affect the height of the shot now!!

I can't believe how are the penalties are. I haven't practiced in training yet to be fair, but fucking hell, if I dont just hit it down the middle it goes into orbit.

100% goal:

View: Ingame penalty (not after extra time)

1) press shoot
2) press up or down, just less than a second (to pick a corner)
3) pres one fraction to the left

This way it will lob the ball and will always go in, even when the keeper goes for the right corner. The ball goes slower than the keeper's dive so it will go over te keeper.
