Pro Evo, if your listening....

Please, please, PLEASE bring back the old penalties, similar to what fifa (sorry for swearing) have now. The ones with the front view of the net thats actually easier to score.
I love 2011 but can never score penalties, think ive only scored 1 or 2 since having the game lol.
IF you brought back the old system it is so much better, and would make alot of PES fans happy again :)

I wrote in another thread that each time I am faced with a penalty I have to pause, go to a youtube tutorial to remind myself how, then continue with the kick. Don't have this luxury when playing online. I believe I read they did revamp the system for 2012 to be more or less similar to old.

I believe they have already said that they are changing the penalties. I'm a bit disappointed as if you actually learn the technique then you can put the penalties anywhere you like quite accurately. However most people seem to want them changed so fair enough, suppose you have to please the majority.

Just hope they don't make it pretty random which I found to be the case on a lot of previous PES games.

before you take a penalty change the camera to vertical wide so you are facing the goal, then you press circle to start the run up. when you are running, press right or left to set how righ or left it'll go. the longer you press it for , the wider it goes. then while he is still running, just tap up to make it go higher. if you press it for a long time, it'll go higher. if you press down it will be chipped but don't press it to long. remember not to do the arrows at the same time, for exammple i wan it to go to the top right corner. i press circle, tap right for 1 sec, then quickly tap up.

Practise this on training and it really helps - i've never missed a penalty
also, remember change the view to player or vertical wide so you are facing the goal as camera view counts

lol this is exactly how difficult it is, why go through all that when you can just have the old way?
I found it much better and easier anyway

Without sounding like an arrogant twat I feel I have mastered everything in pes 2011(although manual crossing is fucking tough) I still dread getting a penalty. I use the chip but it feels a bit dirty almost like an exploit, the pen system just doesn't feel consistent, I have to admit though my practice has been limited.

The only problem about the older penalty system is that your not 100% your gonna score, it can sometimes hit the woodwork or go over as it is automatic so i hope hen they change it, it's gonna be like the fifa ones where you can control it but it's not too hard.
I have to agree, penalties did take me a month to learn.
Another tip from my previous comment is to make it easier. just press circle (to start run up) and after that right for one second - I'll guarantee it'll go in.

i personally prefer the pes 2011 ones because i am gonna fear i will miss more than i did on pes 2011

Yeah, it's really easy once you get to grips with it and after you master it, you can watch your friends or online mates miss theirs.
Also a tip is if yu are playing against the AI and you concede a penalty, they will always go left or right, and it'll be always low. Always change the camera angle so you can see the goalkeepers face and the penalty takers back,
For me, the AI always goes left so i save it however they always score the rebounds.

I'll be honest the pens were great when you took the time out to learn them, which i did. That's a shame their going back, i had many a close match with a friend of mine.

I would say a lot of our matches went to a penalty shootout, which ofcourse i knew i would win as he never ever learnt how to take or save them,lol.

All good things must come to an end i suppose.

we keep talking about taking penalties but sgmullins hit another nail - how to save them. Seems so easy but when it comes game time by keeper looks like an idiot out there.

I think a mistake I make is holding down square(ps3) before the kicker moves forward - so I sit there frozen.
