I love the new pro, one of the best games of pro series since PES6
But one thing which has upset me is the Pens

Why could they just leave the pens as they were now this new view makes me miss them all the time.

Is there anything in the options to change angle for pens? Orr any advice.

The only way i score Pens at this min is by shooting down the middle and hoping the keeper dives away from it.

There will be a time where i will need a goal, I will have a pen and I would need to score.

So any advice welcome

I think we all had the same gripes but i think you will eventually agree if you get the system down it is a much more technical and dare i say better way to take pens.

And yes onlien is beautifull!

I hate the pens too, was messing about today tho and worked them out. Basically if you shooting a pen to the left for example, down is to aim for the left side of the goal, and up for right.

You hold either 1 whilst changing power with the square button. Its pretty good I think how accurate the pens are now, just a shame about the camera angle.

For example, depending on how long u hold down or up, u can get the ball from just 1 side of the goal to right in the corner

Ye....You could just watch the vid though, explains it slightly better.

With the help of that video (on the we 10 demo though) I am managing to score some great penalties. You just need to practice them and they're satisfying in the end.

yeah, i dont understand why on earth they took the old camera angle out of the pens, you want to be able to see the goal when you take a pen, its more realistic that way, this new method they have gone with is a disgrace really.

I agree, they implement a new PK system, but change the camera angle. One step forward, two steps back from Konami...

I haven't had a penalty yet so I haven't had chance to try it.

^Why is it 2 steps back? They took the old camera away, but implemented a much better system for penalties? it seems like 2 steps forward and 1 back. I personally didn't bother with the new camera as serie A matches sometimes has the same camera.
I had another pen with messi and I managed to place it top corner. You feel much better with this new system as they go where you want them unlike in the old one. Anyway, my only concern is that they seem too sensitive. But I can live with that.

After looking at the video, I am able to do the pens now. The cam angle is what you would see on the tv.

So i will have a practice and get used to it!! chears guys

i think ive worked them out after a good half hour in trianing and its like someone said its down for left and up for right although in shootouts i dont know ive had 1 shhotout and won it and dididnt miss one but at that time i wasnt sure how to take them

I played several games against my gf's brother last night and (as per usual between the two of us on football games) most of them went to penalties. The first shootout we had, neither of us managed to score when shooting to the left or right.

However, now that I know how to take penalties on PES2010, I find that I prefer the new system, it was just too easy on 09

a different camera angle would be nice, but at the end of the day it doesnt matter.
there's no reaction needed, it's the same everytime. you could literally take a penalty with your eyes closed if needed

and in agreement with darkstar et al, once you get used to it (i spent like half an hour in training last night just doing penalties) i think it IS a better system
