After what was possibly the worst football related game ever created in the form of PES 12 i'd like to say a big well done on PES 13.

The basketball style you score, we score game play has been replaced by a realistic attacking and defending balance. I don't feel frustrated by ridiculous AI goals, if i concede it's purely because i haven't defended well or have implemented the wrong tactics.

I've had the game for about two weeks and play on superstar after just about managing professional last time round and i love it.

I've just finished my first Bundesliga season with Borussia Mönchengladbach (i like unfashionable clubs) i play on -1 speed with passing semi assisted (two white bars), i looked at the tactics thread by Klashman a few threads down from this and it completely changed the game for me, well worth a read in my opinion.

PES is back!!!

PES 2013, among its flaws and improvements, is the best PES so far. I can't wait for that Fox Engine to come in 2014.

That statement is only true if you haven't played all the other PES games, otherwise it's a blatant lie and you know it. You don't have to think PES2013 is great, I know there are flaws that weight more for some than others in this game, but saying "most garbage pes game ever" isn't true at all because there have recently been released PES games that include the same mistakes that PES2013 has, but also have a huge amount of other mistakes in addition. PES2010, PES2011, PES2012 to name a few.

The best PES game till date in many ways is PES2009, it was a poor game for 2009 standards, but the game is nearly identical to PES5 and 6 that everybody loves so much, and it got better graphics. PES2011 had a stroke of genius with the new strategy settings, sadly it got replaced by the inferior (and useless) TeamVision in PES2013 which we have no control over what so ever, but we can isolate it like I explain in the post in the link at the bottom of this post.

I think that PES2013 is the best football game ever created, but I am very aware of flaws that makes you want to rip your hair out straw by straw. FIFA is honestly a shallow piece of shit game, through and through, it's usable for two player if alcohol is involved though. I don't disrespect those that disagree with my assessment of FIFA, but if they're not agreeing, they're either blind or have a completely different view on football than me. PES2013 occasionally gives you a really good football experience, ups and downs just like in real football. Like earlier mentioned, in the link at the bottom of this post I explain how to make those moments more frequent and lasting with a single easy operation.

I recently came up with this little tweak that improves PES2013 by a lot, and removes a lot of AI "cheats" and "instability".

opinions opinions, we all have different ones but clearly judging by the number of "outrage" posts about this iterration of the game.. PES 2013 is clearly not the best or indeed one of the worst in all aspects apart from "eye candy" in my personnel viewpoint

Most of the complaints are made by people who doesn't even know the simplest of things in the game though, so if you take those kind of complaints into the equation WoW must be the worlds worst game ever.

i cant say PES2013 is the best soccer game in the world, but i agree that PES 2013 is awesome. here is why: i players WE6 ,7 , 8 and 9 then i jump to play fifa 09, 10, 11, 12, 13 . the worst game is fifa13: fixed game, very unrealistic. the game do not require you to be skill player. meaning anyone can win the game. because EA bulid the engine to have fair play. unlike PES2013, very realistic, not best graphic (its alright), proper build up game, non delay button, manual passing / scoring and i like the tactical team menu.

FYI:
I'm not really defending anything, I have my complaints about the game as well and they are many. But when I see people complain that their formation don't work, too few people in the box on corners, dribbling is hard or impossible, headers always missing the target and so on, then I have to say that most of those complaints are due to complete and utter lack of knowledge of the game and/or complete lack of finger dexterity. There are, as I said, many things in this game that could be better but the game also requires the player to learn the game in order to succeed in the long term. When I see complaints that are completely bollocks, I argue those points and I don't feel like I have to balance it out by pointing out what I believe are the weakest points of the game every time I do so. I don't care if an individual post may suggest that I am a PES fanboi or anything of the sort because I expect people to check out my other posts if they speculate if my "loyalty" is neutral towards Konami or PES.

You, on the other hand, are one of the most negative people I've seen on this forum. You complain about EVERYTHING, without exception. I haven't counted but I bet 95% of your posts are about complaints or spreading some kind of negative vibe around you. The last 5% is about how you've moved on the the glorious game called FIFA by EA, where everything is so much better, but really isn't.

PS. I play a completely unmodified version of PES2013 on PC, no kitserver, no 3rd party tools.. NOTHING. I have imported some graphics directly into my img files, but that doesn't affect gameplay at all.

I had a quick look at the posts of mine you singled out and it looks to me like you're clutching at straws:

I laugh at a guy's post who thinks that being able to play 2 whole games of PES online with only a few crashes is "great". You agree this is "great" then I take it?

I mention that the form arrows are completely random in PES and always have been. Do you deny this? Maybe there has been a recent update to change this but there are countless posts where people agree the form arrows appear to be random. Players score a hat trick one game then are on a purple the next. Why? Maybe you know something we don’t know? Enlighten us, please.

Yes I didn't buy the game because PES 2012 was such a mess. I rented PES 2013 a couple of times and played it pretty comprehensively. It was the same garbage as PES 2012 with a few of the good things removed for good measure. I thought a guy of your supreme intellect and gaming knowledge could have figured that out.

Yes I'm negative about PES these days because I think it has gone badly downhill and is generally a piss poor game. This upsets and disappoints me because I have been an ardent PES fan since the Super Nintendo days and I am clearly not alone in this. Why my and other people’s opinions regarding PES seem to upset or offend you to the point you feel the urgent need to belittle them or try to prove them wrong somehow is beyond me.

Yes I tried FIFA (should I have checked in with you first?) because I love football and want a game to play but if you had researched my posts a bit further you would see I have no great love for that game either.

PS For a guy who plays an unmodified version you certainly know a lot about patches and fixes, like the file fix for the cheating AI you posted not long ago. Just stumble across that did you? The point is moot anyway considering you admitted to importing graphics files and therefore DO play with a modified version. The graphics are just one of the things I have complained about and it seems like you actually agree with me on that front.

My best experiences are with pes2010. PES2008 is much like 2012, half-baked products.
PES2013 is ok when playing offline, when you start to go online, it's a nightmare at first then ok again, when you get used to all the bullshit about servers status, and Real Madrid.

One thing, I don't know what's wrong with the Japanese developer to remove all sense of community and friendlist, cooperative modes. That is what I miss in FIFA (hell with them, anyway). PES is Dark Souls for Football.
