Pes 14 opinion thus far

my opinion of pes2014 ps3

this game is very poor needs a hugh overhaul of even the basic elements as for online WHAT ONLINE its a complete joke lag,cursor,positioning,shooting,passing,gk,freezing,cant see offside screen to slowto catch up and when i go to quit game after being online my ps3 beeps and resets.


konami are taking us for fools its not the first time they stiff us removing the good and inserting the bad (no 2v2 friendly online) either they dont give a hoot about europeans or they havnt got a clue what work and what dont

I think it is safe to say that Konami are fixing the issues. The only real question is how long will it take them to iron out all the big issues.

It's funny cause I played the FIFA 14 demo again today after not playing since PES14 released and my god did it feel so much better. I had a blast playing it. had some great tight matches.

Does it have issues, sure and hopefully these will be ironed out in the full game or soon after release but right now, it looks like FIFA 14 will be getting my time.

its not like we say to konami, " i will pay you half now and half when the game is actually playable". Trading standards should be involved in this caper cos its tantamount to fraud as far as i am concerned, we have been conned into paying for something which konami said was gonna be an amazing game, when its painfully obvious to all us paying customers that its not.

It's playable, you are not conned into anything... There are Demos for a reason. If you are on PC download it and try before you buy. Simple.

Playable to some is not playable to all. Plus merely playable is unacceptable with all the missing faces, stadiums and other in game features that were present last year and he be been removed. Playable but bit realistic when your slow midfielder like Pirlo sprints 60 yards up field like an Olympic track gold medalist. Playable? Not online where most ppl in the year 2013 play. It's a sham and that's all there is to it.

I didn't play PES2013 on the PS3 no, however I did play it on PC and I can say, which I have done already in this thread, that this years instalment is better. It feels like I am playing a real game of football and I get some satisfaction each and every time I score.

I have already explained why I think it is better and what points about the game I do not like. If you do actually care about my view, then I suggest you go back a page or two and see what I had to say.

Missing faces can easily be patched in, in fact aren't Konami releasing a big DLC pack with players faces? If not it doesn't bother me as I can easily download a patch which fixes all that. But I would rather just play the game than stop and admire the players faces... If you want to do that go and play Fifa... lol. (Which are not that much better this year either)

I agree about the Stadiums, it actually sucks that Konami have taken that away from us. I actually love the gameplay, a few others do also... I don't really care about all these cry babies winging because their easy game turned hard. Either get better or go play Fifa... lol.

I don't play online so I cannot comment about that.

Would love to know what sort of football you play, cause this isn't realistic at all.

Reaction times are too slow. dribbling is poor. Movement is dire. Refs are terrible. Keepers suck. Shooting is too floaty. Player runs are way too static. Fixed animations are terrible, and players get stuck in them way to often.

The only place this game has really improved is in animations. Everything else has taken a step back IMO.

its been determined I think that the PC version of the game plays much better than console, especially PS3. I think most complaints are for PS3 on here. Mine is at least....

Its pretty obvious the people that are complaining so much about everything have a broken game. These are largely PS3 players. Those on the PC that have problems, it has got to do with vsync. I'm on xbox with a uk version, and I can assure you its not broken. I'm curious - Is there anybody from Ireland or the UK, with an xbox and the uk version of this game having these immense problems everyone else is having offline, online or both?

apart from the silly glitches ( goalkeepers pushing the ball INTO the goal , defenders staring at the ball like they've just witnessed a murder , CPU not fouling ) this game is a beast.

I think in this 2014 where alot of advancements are being made in game development and tech,a big company like konami cant get their shit together ? Really ? The game is very bad in its current form, no doubt about it, anyone saying otherwise is just satisfied with a poor football game.
It has some big potential underneath tho, if the modders can fix the gameplay, it has potential to be better than modded pes 2013.
however I really dont know how modders are supposed to fix some of the things in this game, i think its impossible to fix for example:

- little to no difference between players ( either a 90 or 70 overall player, u don't feel much difference in shooting, passing, dribbling etc... )
- horrible ref ( almost no fouls on ur players even tho some are clear as day )
- players letting the ball run past them issue
- lack of a normal running speed ( sprint is sprint, while normal run is...well turtle walk.. )

But anyway, if they manage to fix some other issues i think it could be a pretty decent game, however I really don't get why some ( few ) people defend this franchise so much, if you really love it then why not critisize it even more than it deserves? Don't you want a better pes? Why are you satisfied with a poor product or a playable product when you want an amazing game? why satisfied with no rain? with lack of faces? with lack of stadiums? with removing of stadium editor or other things from the game? FFS when are you people going to get it, when a product is bad and people still are satisfied with it, there will never be major changes. But when people are not satisfied with it and demand something much more and the distributer starts losing customers and money, then they will actually put more effort into it.
