The stamina and fatigue is ridiculous. Two games in and everybody on my team has half stamina for the third match. It was pretty bad in the last version and they've made it worse.

And through balls: I tap it with no power and it flys through at 100mph and over runs every time. Am I doing something wrong? It's set to basic passing.

- The shooting and goalkeeping system is actually quite good. One scores plenty of realistic-looking goals.

Are you serious? I find the goalkeepers terrible. They are parrying shots right in front of the attackers all the time. Also, it seems that when a ball bounces back from the keeper your defenders are 'frozen' somehow. Me and my mate are playing each other and we get lots of 4-4 and 5-4s as a result.

Been playing as Juventus today and the game is growing on me a bit more, still only have 3-5 shots per game but then so do the opposition which was similar for my early days of PES 13, passing goes a bit awry at times but i think a bit more playing time could fix that.

I like that you can change teams in Master League,i also like that you're on a rolling one year contract which will add a bit of tension to games and the season and that you choose your main rival and control how the crowd response in certain situations, the game play is sketchy to say the least though.

This game is awful... while they have made changes that was required to make other PES versions better... they have made changes and now added more nonsense. The passing is awful... they have made fixes to things that were never broken... (Why are there arrows now during set pieces, why is it when I bring my keeper out it isn't automatic for the computer to clear the ball).... they have just made this game a f*cking maze and I'm sick to death of it. I have always been able to adapt to the game but this one baffles me... I play a through ball and once my player reaches it, they automatically pass it randomly... I can't believe I'm gonna say this but I will be playing PES 2013 and going by other people's reviews, I'm guessing it they'll be doing the same thing.

Got the game. Started first match as Arsenal v Chelsea on Top Player, wasn't smooth. Installed the game. After 5 minutes I played with Bilbao against Athletico and the game was ..pretty fun. Lost 3-2, to 2 stupid slide tackles in the box. I scored from a corner, with no response issues. The weight and inertia of Muniain is completely different from how Aduriz was handling the ball. Herrera felt great as he sprayed the balls to the flanks and looked for runs.

Have to play more to see what is up with the rubberbanding, which still kinda exists. From the demo to the actual game it seems as if when a forward took a bad touch, or the ball didn't have enough pace, I was able to catch up and put an arm in. The third goal I conceded was a clean thru ball and then Costa took 1 touch and fired passed my keeper.

Goalkeepers need a little work. They don't come out as fast as you would like them to. Can't get the Data Pack. Defense switching not the best, I miss switching by flicking right stick. But I think they are forcing you to play the position as oppose to flick to the back and hit pressure.
R3 for dribbling is looking like key to break down top defenses.

People complaining about player ratings: They are doing that to make sure players online go up against players of similar ratings, dont sweat the overall ratings.

Espanyol v Betis. Lost 0-1. Mubarak clear through on goal but I took a horrible touch, defender caught up and I shot wide. Torje was a constant menace for me as Betis goalkeeper made some good saves on him, but I gotta work on my shooting. The physical side of the game is very smooth.

Despite the nags I really like the game (so far at least, only had it for a few days).

But what would really improve the game is if:
  • Konami fixed the catch-up bug
  • player responsiveness is improved
  • player switching using only the right stick is added
  • team mate runs using only the right stick is added

Luckily, I figure these improvements would not be very hard to implement, so hopefully at least some of them will be added in a patch in the near future...!

you are forgetting the other 30 bugs that are in the list we made on my post.... the game is awful and if you continue to overlook everything for our pure love for pes, they will turn to fifa and keep giving us this garbage.

There are some very annoying nags, yes, but I don't find the game awful. I like the direction where Konami are taking the series.

Hopefully some future patch will satisfy us all.

i can't play it, i've gone back to PES 2013, i was hardcore in the editing and everything, but after a day of solid playing, the game is rubbish, if they do fix it in a patch, please let us know, but for now, this game is dead to me... they arn't annoying nags, they are infuriating.... that rubber band thing happens to me 9/10 times, i just can't play the game, and player movement and responsiveness is horrible and thats the thing that usually stands pes out.... the game is a huge fail (at the moment, if they can patch all the issues, then great, but there is so many)

First of all I'm not experiencing half the main problems people are having, especially offline.

Positives:
I'm not experiencing input lag(only once or twice so far when I've run onto a rebounded ball in the box and tried to shoot. The player doesn't seem have full control of it, yet he could have kicked it a few times before he actually does).

I haven't once had the game slow down on me even in the box when it is congested. No frame rate issues, except for the opening pre match cutscenes which I rarely watch anyway.

As a result, I'm thoroughly enjoying the gameplay. Its the best footy game I've played in many, many years. In fact, I couldn't fully get into Pes of Fifa before as they always lacked things that ruined me having a satisfying experience.

The dribbling this year is excellent. You have full 360 control, so now I can actually exploit space to the maximum and beat players properly. Before, you only had a limited amount of angles to run at which is woefully unrealistic and hindered proper dribbling and exploitation of space. I couldn't beat players properly because the angles available to you either pushed the ball too close to the defenders and they'd easily intercept, or push the ball too wide and wouldn't so much as beat the defender but push the ball to the side of him and he could recover easy. The same with exploiting space, you could easily sprint the ball into a defender because you couldn't run into space at the proper angle.

The different dribble speeds are perfect, except we could do with the normal dribble speed from last year being available as an intermediate speed to this years normal and sprint speeds, but it doesn't affect me all that much either due to the style I play. I like to be careful with the ball(normal dribble) to way up my options or get close to defenders before a burst of speed to exploit available space and create opportunities or outwit a defender.

Crossing has improved. I can cross it with more control over what angle the ball enters the box, so I can pick out players better rather than hope they are going to be in the path of ball like last year. Also, the ground cross power has been nerfed which made it a little too easy some times in previous games.

Goalkeepers are alot better, but I think alot of that is down to the fact its harder to place the ball in the corners of the net.

Shooting is way better. Last year the likes of rooney could kick ridiculously hard, accurate shots while other players had only weak shots you had to get on top of the keeper to score with. Far more balanced this year.

Passing is excellent, but I would like a bit more control of the powerbar. I use one bar of assistance and find it hard to over hit the ball, although I do have decent control of the power.

Negatives:
Firstly, its obvious the whole game in general is not finished.

The patch was a joke for people on xbox. It took a user to figure out the problem and come up with a solution and I still believe konami haven't fixed it. Not acceptable, but they just about get away with it because there is some solution.

Overall online, I had a very good experience. There was bad lag here and there in some matches though, but not too often except for one match - it was my second match online and the input lag was dreadful for the whole match. It was just a mess of overunning the ball, not passing or shooting on time, etc. Two own goals scored as a result by each team. If this is what people are experiencing all of the time, then I can see why you think the game is shit.

No online cup competition - I'm seriously disappointed with this as its my favourite feature to play online out of Pes and Fifa. It says it exists in the game manual, so it should be available soon in a patch.

Lots of menu bugs, even one where I couldn't access the game plan at half time in extra time. Slow cursor in game plan.

No ability to turn off preset tactics. You can only move the defensive line when you don't have the ball and the ball is in play. I should be able to do it with the ball and ESPECIALLY when the ball is out of play as this allows me to do it without affecting my players control when in play.

Lack of real faces.

You can only put a second player on the right hand side of the ball in free kicks.

I think thats enough of an evaluation so far. With its flaws, I still think its the best footy game I've played possibly ever. As I said, I'm not experiencing a lot of the serious problems people are having and can actually enjoy it more as a result.

passing is excellent??????? what? passing is shite, you cant hit a nice crisp speedy pass.... shooting is more balanced????? see this is the problem, when people want balance in shooting, i don't know if you have realised, when Rooney laces his shots in real life, he does blast them! I'm guessing you love the rubber band effect, because it adds more balance.... no if a player shoots harder, let him shoot harder, if a player is quicker, let him run quicker. Goalkeepers are just as bad, the animation of the goalkeepers has improved, so the visual side when they jump and that, but they still do the same dumb things... I think your being like a fifa fan and being blinded by the visual stuff... everything about the gameplay apart from the general player movement is trash, and even then i can turn just as well with Crouch as I can Messi... the game is flat out awful.... Oh and the dribble speed are the worst thing about the game, i see no differencere in players and the acceleration from jogging at 1mph to 600 mph is that of a mclaren f1, even when you are Mertersacker... I ran up the pitch with him at 500mph without getting touched.... and you think this is a good thing? I'm happy for you, you like it... but 90% of the pes fans I have spoken to hate the game at the moment, and that is alot.... Me and all my friends have been pes maniacs since we was playing the nintendo, and 15/15 of us hate this game... I just can't dislike it any more even if it was possible.... this is how BALANCE should work my friend... (Rooney can smash the ball really hard into the top corner - nullify the effect of this with goalkeeper with high agility) (Martins can run really fast - Nullify this with defenders with great positioning sense) (pirlo can do amazing long balls - Nullify this with player with a mixture of speed and position sense) and so on and so on... Not to mention players stats seem to make very very little difference.

OK, forgive me but I've tinkered with my graphical settings and forced vsync off and MY GOD, HUGE difference in responsiveness! since my previous posts were about the unresponsiveness I will delete them, it's not fair, I had everything maxed out and just assumed the lack of response was due to the game since I have a high end rig...

First of all don't sound like a pathetic little teenager and let your rage blind you to what I meant. I'm not a Fifa fan which you would like to believe just to prove your right. Don't make up lies and something you don't know, it doesn't prove anything except make you look like a child. I've been playing Pes since the super nintendo myself when it was called ISS. I've always preferred it over Fifa because it is always more realistic with its ball control physics and such.

Your wrong about passing, you can hit a nice speedy pass but then again what assist settings are you using?

As for the balance in shots, you've made a wrong assumption again. I was more referring to the ridiculous DIFFERENCE between the power and accuracies different players could put into shots last year. Rooney and the like could blast them all the time WITH SERIOUS ACCURACY from anywhere, he's not that accurate with those powerful shots all of the time. Other players had just weak shots, e.g. walcott - Not realistic, you had to get deep into the box to score. Now players like walcott have powerful shots, and rooney can't blast into the top corner all of the time. More balanced.

I disagree about the keepers, I think they are far improved. Much harder to beat. Only gripe would be rebounds go to the attackers a bit too much, but that's largely defenders not reacting.

You got it wrong again about what I said about dribbling. I was talking about how limited it was last year in the ANGLES YOU CAN RUN AT. You had hardly any angles to run at, this stopped you from exploiting space properly and beating a defender properly because you couldn't chose the exact angle you wanted to run at. Dribbling is very free because of the 360 control. You probably have a point about acceleration, but its not ruining it for me but more importantly your talking about something different - SPEED.

This is how responding to the content of someone's post works my "friend"(as you put it). Read it first, understand it, don't make assumptions and most of all don't respond to people's posts with such juvenile, pathetic rage because you've misunderstood everything I've said and you now look like a bit of an idiot. Next time, take deep breaths.
