After alot of playing on the demo for PES 2009 and Fifa 09 i've come to the conclusion i thought i would, despite so many people bigging up Fifa. Pro Evo is still miles better. I actually think its improved in many ways too, and the final version could have further inprovements. It's now harder to just use pure pace to get away from players. There's more emphasis on using the "give and go" (R2 after you pass) to break down defences, as they're alot more intelligent and positionally aware. The players don't turn as sharply and quickly as before which is good because they could turn far too quickly when running at full speed before. Shooting now requires extra deftness with how much power you use, which adds to the skill required to be clinical in front of goal. You have to use R2 for controlled shots more, unless your players got the ball well out from under his feet and his balance spot on. The only real gripe i have at the moment is getting my passes to go to always go to the intended player. But i think that's just gonna need practice, because it appears there's extra selection now on who you pass to, depending on how long you hold down the button. You also have to judge the power better on your long balls, which is another good thing because it adds to the skill required to get them right, rather than just a rough estimate being enough to ping it straight to the intended players feet. All in all, i think after some dedicated effort, this will prove to be the best football game yet.

Defo going to be a good game. the focus is more on keeping possesion a la real life, and having a decent first touch. not got to grips with shooting yet despite playing it a lot, i'm obviously still playin pes 08, on a pes 09 engine. so i'm not going to blame the game - i'm going to say 'I'll improve and learn how to shoot pes09 style' - so many people wanting it to just be pes6 but with mint graphics, it seems as though hardly anyone is willing to adapt and they just blame a 'bad game'.

I'm with u mate, I like it so far, and judging by the fact its 9-1 in games against my mate, I'm pretty sure skill will prevail whereas on pes08 we were never more than a gap of 3 games away from each other - FOR THE WHOLE F'ING YEAR. i swear I'm not joking.

fall over laughing if u want. u mare. x

I downloaded it, played it once, found a glitch and found that the keepers couldn't catch a cold-everything you fired at them would be spilled and tapped in. It just seems to similar to PES 08.
