As far as I know, you have to replace it. If there are save game files you want to keep simply copy those from your old save folder into the new one.

Master league saves are called - PES2009_ML01, Legend saves are BL01 etc.

Well, almost all the italians transfers are missing. Motta moved to Genoa along with D. Milito, Senderos to Milan etc.
But this is still, a good OF.

ah well, thanks anyway, yeh i know about the league and legend saves etc, just didnt want to loose bits ive tinkered with myself, i guess ill have to just replace the file and redo those tinkers!

OK I'm really stuck here. I've dowloaded the option file and stuck it into the Konami/save folder but the game doesn't show any changes. What am doing wrong?

Am I meant to 'unpack' the RAR option file and then put it into Konami/save? The other files in Konami/save seem to be BIN files not RAR files - is that relevant.

HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPP!!!!

yea copy the save folder from the patch and place it in the konami folder 'replacing' the older one.

How I long for Championship teams, makes winning that and progressing to the PL so much more satisfying.

Sick patch so far tho

What does 'extract the files' mean? When I download the file from the link I get a 2.6MB RAR file. That's all. That file can be put into the Konami/save file but makes no difference. Am I meant to 'unpack' that RAR file before I put that into the Konami/save file?

If so what programme do I use to unpack the RAR file?

I'm sorry :fplm: but this is all new to me.

YOU are a real pain in the ass man,
1.Download the RAR package
2.As soon as you complete the download,(If you have installed WinRar aleady from www.rarlab.com),right-click the RAR package and select "extract to here"
3.Copy the resultant "save" folder into your My Documents/Konami/Pro evolution soccer 2009 folder........
4.Make sure to play the game by double click its icon ...(simple)

Just about to finish all the European National teams - just the player name corrections to do. (I will post and update the linked file when complete)

Someone mentioned about the italian transfers - So far I've only done transfers involving EPl teams but if someone could post a list of all italian, spanish etc transfers that are missing, I'll be able to get those sorted for what will hopefully be a complete national kit update tomorrow.

Then it will either be bundesliga or championship sides in team B's space

Kowalski, are you adding not only the correct European names, but also the Jersey's? I noticed that the Finland national team jersey needs updating!
