Pes 2009 Ps2 Major Glitch!!!

good its not just me, ive had the same glitch too, its happened twice now, i made three subs n they came on fine played for 10mins the the comp sub them back off for the players they originally replaced, it shows it in the macth details like i made 6 subs, n if u then go on individual game records it freezes. latest 1 i made a sub before a corner, with the new player on i took the corner it went out for another corner n in between the comp sub him back off for the original player, he was on for like 10 seconds, lol. hope this ent guna happen loads cus ive only just got to play the game n ent done much yet, would hate to not ever wanna make subs.
oh n i got it from GAME 2 answer nyasson2.

I am suffering with the same problem. Anyone had any luck replacing it for a new one that doesnt crash after the game. At first I thought it was a one off but after playing it yesterday and having to reset it quite a few times, it appears I was wrong.

I got mine from Amazon if that makes any difference

hi an update for you if i could! I now have had 2 copy's of the game and still have the same problem!

i spoke to the manager at game in luton and they told me i was the only person to return the game, witch is hard to believe because i bought the first 1 from a different branch the cheeky buggers tried making out it was all in my head, im getting onto head office regarding that!

to be honest im starting to get a little irate the game play is quality and its a class a game but this is ruining every cup or league i play and there is no way am i converting to shity predictable fifa!

has any1 had any news back from konami?? they must know by now i think a complete recall is in order because its a mess and they wont give you a cash refund only exchange and whats the point in that when the same shit just happens again??

i need some help on this?? this is far from over, u don't pay for a game just to chase the dickheads around! :angry:

I too have had the same problem, both the substituting one, and the game crashing at the post-match stats.

I have just sent an e-mail to konami. I am hoping there is a solution to this.

btw...since i change from sub 7 to 3...mine dont have that glitch anymore...(not yet)...

i think its becoz the com will sub max to 7 if u do that...and make the ps2 memory ran out...

i thought the default was 3??

and that's besides the point the games still got the problem, it still aint a proper solution don't give em an easy way out!! :no:

o ok then well im not sure what they are gonna do about it and i want them to sort it out soon becuase pes 2009 on psp is such a good game i would buy it as much times as long as it works!!

I mailed Konami support 2 days ago but still no reply so I decided to call.

Here's how the conversation went:

Me: Hi, I have a problem with PES for my PS2, can you tell me if there are any known problems?

Konami girl: What problem are you having?

Me: Firstly, can you confirm if Konami are aware of a major problem with this game:

KG: Well, not really, what problem are you having?

Me: Well, I'd like to know if Konami are aware of any problems, you seem to be avoiding answering the question?

KG: Is it the subtitution problem?

Me: LOL


My point is, they know about the problem and they didn't wanna readily admit to it. She said that they've only been receiving reports of this problem since the start of this week and the support people are still to make an announcement.



Without a master league, it's just not worth playing. I've been playing PES since it was ISS and never seen a problem like this. In fact, I don't ever remember seeing any major type glitches. This is the first and it's a whopper. The only solution must be total product recall and replacement by working copies which I'm sure they don't have as yet. It seems that they've released a dud....wonder what they'll do.

yep i think we shud all just call cus ther needs to 2 be a sustantial number of complaints before they will do anything, this has to be sorted its just ruining pro 4 me if bin with it since it started (ISS) n this is the first glitch like this ive ever seen.

really man....i dont have that problem after i used 3 sub...it makes cpu less sub the player...and can avoid the glitch...

What?

What does "...it makes cpu less sub the player..." mean? That makes absolutely no sense at all.

Do you experience the glitch?

Do you have a way to avoid the glitch?

If so, what exactly do you do?

at first...when i used 7 sub...cpu often to sub the player...and i have that glitch at once...then....i change it to sub 3...from then..i dont experience that glitch anymore...(this is just the alternative)..

sorry for my bad english...

I have tried something and it seems to work.
I ask you, guys, to test it as well.
Just after my substitution, I pause the game and select "substitutions". There it shows your team and in gray the players who have just been substituted. Then I just return to the game.

So far, it did not happen again, but it may be just a matter of luck...

I have had this problem about 3 times. sometimes I skip past the players stats menu to get to te next game and it crashes.

has anyone heard anything back regarding a fix?

Well, I am not completely sure, but this glitch happens if one of the players replaced is a piece taker. It happened with me when I replaced injured Djordjevic with Leto. Djordjevic is my piece taker in corners, so when I won a corner and Leto was about to kick it, instead of him Djordjevic apeared on the corner mark! When the game ended I was curious to see what the individual records were saying, and then the game crashed. It seems that the game crashes when the substitution glitch happens, so if you understand something like that, do not visit the individual records page, or game crashes!

The latest KONAMI's PES edition, PES2009, is full with bugs!!!!. How could these things happends??? lack of quality control? or maybe KONAMI made a rush & clumssy decissions to deliver it to the market to fight against EA's FIFA2009?. What i've discovered so far from my PES2009 for PSP:
1. The sub's glitch
2. The blackout glitch
3. The players movements (styles & tricks) glitch, i've found this when i controlled CR7 both on ML or Match mode, he automatically (without manually pressing specific "tricks" buttons) do the 360 styles to avoid coming oponents defender, thats annoying coz he often loses the ball.
I'm quite pesimistic there would be a fix or patch for PSP or PS2 versions from KONAMI's, but still possible for a replacements though, coz the "updating" limitations on those console. Anyway have you guys ever heard a patch for a game for PS2 & PSP????, i don't think i have.
