Hopefully getting this over the the weekend for the ps2.

Its by far better on the PS2 than PS3.

I am a avid fan of Pro Evo. But the past 2 next gen versions have not worked.

Gameplay on PS2 takes piss.

Anyone else opted for the PS2 version?

How does the PS2 version look and play on a PS3? I'm considering swapping my PS3 version for a PS2 one, I think the next-gen PES2009 is terrible

it looks and plays very good guys.

if you played pes 2008 ps2 version on ps3 last year then it looks the same.

plays better than last year.

better goalie animations and better shots.

the ball also feels more boucny.just slighty diffrent from last year.

the only thing i dont like is they have implement the skills thing into the left analogue,so some times when you running you player will do a trick or a spin automaticaly.maybe i just need to get used to the change.not a majour prob as the game plays as excellent as recent ps2 games.

it pisses all over the next gen game guys.

the next gen game is a joke.........

Guys i just wanna ask u one question.Is the game speed faster or slower than the PES08 version on PS2?And how is shooting dribbling etc? Answer only if u have played the game....tnx

Pes 2009 next gen is the best game of Pes. I just can't understand how the ps 2 version is better because I have it and it's not.

You must be kidding shaun, the ps3 version is awful. It is no improvement on last years years rubbish and the only difference is the that there is no lag but the gameplay is as shi*te as ever. The champ league mode does nothing for the game other than make it more marketable but that means bugger all when the gameplay is so poor.

Players move around like they are on an ice rink and ball looks has that elasticated feel when you dribble with it. It's a poor game full stop.

The ps2 version is a far better football game as it still has the essence of PRO gameplay that has completely been lost since the transition to PS3.

I have been playing PRO longer than most and it shocks me that ppl think the PS3 version of last year and this year are worthy of a PRO title, they are not and Konami have a hell of a lot of work to do to get PRO back to it's rightful place at the top.

I think it's def slower but for the better as well. You need to put a lot more thought in to building your attacks making it even more realistic.

A great game, unlike the PS3 crap!!

I'm not. It's true, it's tons better than 08. The game speed is better, the shooting and curl are great, freekicks are as great as Pes 5, Ai don't score every freekick, Speed isn't everything, you need to be a pro to play pes 09 (next gen and ps2) and it makes you feel pretty good after scoring as it's harder than 08. NO IMPROVEMENTS? That's enough to make it the best pes ever, but it's an opinion afterall.:cool:
Also the next gen pes 08 was crap, true, but pes 09 is truly great in my eyes.
