PES 2009(PS3) or PES 6(PS2)?

Damn, I now regret selling my WE PES 2007 (PES6?). Even with its flaws, it was the best football game ever. Too bad my PS2 was not always working right but I wish my PS3 played PS2 games cause I would go back and buy the game.

PES 2009 is veriy dissappointing. I didn't play PES 2008 but 09 is still a few steps back from PES 6.. the gameplay in that game was simply the best that has ever come out.. I think Konami should go back to that version and imply update it and improve it, cause now that game feels way to different and the players simply don't move right. Players don't have a 360 range of motion, instead, it feels like they move on an asterix * and the ball just feels a little odd.

I think FIFA 09 is the better game, but I just don't enjoy playing it, and I don't have other options than PES 09.. PES 6 gameplay has to come back.. Anyone else feel the same?

Uhhhh, does your PS3 have a problem running PS2 games because PS3 can run PS2 games fine.

My ps3 is North American and i live in england.

I have 2 ps2 american games, they work fine.
The english ones dont work

But ps3 games dont have territories so im fine

Thats what i thin he means

Ah ok :p. Just wondering. It would suck to sell all ur ps2 games (especially the good ones) thinking that the ps3 couldn't run them.

I have the 40gb which is not backwards compatible and doesn't play ps2 games..

Wow never knew that was the case :(. I picked up my 60G PS3 on release date and never looked back. Thought ever single one was the same other than HD space.

I also think PES 6 was best version playability wise. PES 4 was always my prefered choice but thought the speed of PES 5 was spot on and Konami seemed to blend the good points of the two games and made a near perfect game with PES 6. To be fair though PES 2009 although not perfect, it is still a great game and with a few minor tweeks will be unbeatable.
A quick question? Could anyone tell me whether it worth buying PES 2009 on PS2? Is it as good as PES 6? Is playability still same?
