I fear my post will be an all too familiar one for this site.

I was a die hard PES fan but I want the best football experience I can get and now I don't care where I get it. I used to like PES but I got more and more offended at the way Konami treated their paying customer. They never listened to our complaints (especially the PESgaming letter) and were arrogant. Well now they are paying the price because people are looking to FIFA.

I was ready to read the reviews of both and get whichever was better but Konami have showed classic signs of ignorance. Their release date is later than FIFA and they've placed a press embargo til 15th October. Couple that with the tesco £24.97 offer for FIFA and they've just lost a long standing fan. Nice one Konami, you deserve everything you (don't) get.

Oh and as for the author of this site not being biassed, while I believe his intentions are good, he does run a site called PES GAMING. If PES is rubbish and FIFA is amazing could he really say it honestly and truthfully? I don't know, I'm not saying he wouldn't but he would know that with that post he could be contributing to cutting his readership by half.

if you feel its going to be too familiar in topic it does not warrant its own thread, use an already existing thread and add your 2cents.

have to agree wit hyou there mate, im in the same boat, was looking forward to pes played the demo and just shuck my head, theres no point in me getting into the b.s about the game beacause everyone already has heard it, ive just bought fifa for the first time since FIFA95 on the mega drive and im happy with that

tehre are good points and bad points for every game made but pes l=these past few years have lost thier ways so theres no need to wait for review its simple, how can tesco and some internet sites sell pes for £20odd if its "better than fifa" as konami are claiming "the king is back" ive heard but fifa is selling for £39.99 easy choice to make ive been loyal to pes over the years but no more 3years running now they've messed up, in this day and age all konami have to do is listen to the fans in here and put hteir ideas into the game lets face it its the fans that buy the game, is it so far fetched to give the fans what they want?

I tell you what I am sick of this - well website are selling PES 2010 cheaper than FIFA, that must mean PES is gonna suck and they are worried. How come then FIFA is only 24.99 in Tesco and Asda?? Its got nothing to do with the quality of the game - its competition of websites and shops....

Can someone please shut this thread

i dont think the author would say the games rubbish, its a PES gaming site, he may lose advertisments if he was to say something like that. however there are plenty of admins and moderators who have been on this site for ages who are dismayed at the path konami have taken. i think ignorance may sum it up, the thing that dissapoints me is the WE demo isnt too bad but its the same damn mistakes that have been constant throughout the series, even on the ps2 many of the mistakes have remained into next gen, its just sloppy really.

You would think they would learn, certain things that people have been asking for for years like tiltable cameras and stuff like that, what happened to the editable nets, the nets in pes are fucking shocking, i just do not understand where all this is coming from.

And the thing is EA have dropped the ball big time this year, FIFA 10 had the potential to be the best game of all time, but due to some bugs and some annoying things in the game, it misses out.

PES need a game engine that produces realistic games of football, once they achieve that, they are in with a real shout once again.

Give me a job at konami, within one year i could make PES infinitley better than it is now in terms of ideas and understanding of what the mass market wants right now.

If your not happy, dont buy the game, simple as that.

Haha! well said mate!

I cant understand it. Me and my mates have played pes since the first pro evolution Soccer. At that time i did only play fifa and ive got to say i didnt like pes at first, but then after a few games and i think that you need to play pes more to get into it, we thought it was amazing. One of my friends however complained and says "i like fifa because of the official licences...." WHAT?! I think a lot of people like fifa more because its easy to pick up and play score goals and play attractive football very easily.

I admit the last 2 years pes lost its way i had fifa 09 (hadnt bought fifa since 99) and i thought it was good and i was quite excited about fifa 10. Then i downloaded the demo and it was ok but i felt there was something missing... So i then downloaded pes thinking it would be similar to last year and i would be underwelmed... NOT THE CASE! Personally i think its amazing! my mates love it also. Its so hard to score you have to build up your play and work for space just like Real football and when you score it just has that "GET IN" factor that fifa doesnt have.

Any one that says fifa is better than pes is dreaming i think a few havent even gave pes a chance and had a few games. Im not biased pes it just excites me so much more than fifa!

Agree! I think a review recently in a magazine said that PES is the game that really gets real emotion out of you, joy, anger etc. I can tell you, both of these things are VERY apparent when i play thats for sure

Yea defo! Some of the goals ive scored literally cant be done in Fifa and look amazing. Thats what ive missed, fifa 09 was decent but lacked the emotion and now playing the demo its all come back and reminds me of the good old days playing pes!

Man, I am sick of these threads. ALWAYS THE SAME WORDS.
"I was a die hard pes fan and for the first time I'll buy fifa".:faceplm::no::doh:
All of us can do what they want and buy what they want. But to everyone, DON'T JUDGE BY THE DEMOS.
Oh and also, Pes 10 is not rubbish because you didn't play the full game and prices don't mean anything.

Dude if you cant judge a game by the demo, whats the point of a demo?

Obviously its not the finished game, but its representative of the finished game, thats why its the demo, unless you think the finished version is going to be completely different.

^The point of the demo is to get a SMALL piece of the game. It's like an unfinished part of something big. A demo can be good or bad, but it won't show the final gameplay. And the pes demo was an old build (bad move from konami for sure), so it can never show it.
But the WE demo is much better. That should have been the official pes demo.
I didn't play fifa 10 so far, I will get it soon and all my friends are saying that it's better than the demo and we all know fifa's demo wasn't as old as pes'. So no you can never judge a game by the demo.

You cant make a final judgement on a finished game from a demo, but you can make a judgement on the direction the game is going in.... thats the point of a demo. lol

Agree with both Shaun and Tech here. You can't disregard either game until you get a shot at the full version, but you can see where each is headed; and personally, I think FIFA is looking like a winner this year, much to my disappointment.
