Miss even tho its an improvement over 2009 i feel theres a fair bit of work for Konami to do.The dribbling on higher settings seems pretty poor and its very difficult to beat defenders, don`t get me wrong you don`t want it to be too easy but i feel they haven`t got the balance right.Com teams play like brazil and its a nightmare to win the ball back as they play like brazil yet have very few attempts on goal lol.Keepers are still poor and player animations when they are turning need alot of work as does the commentary.PES 6 on ps2 is still the ultimate football experience.

Do not agree. PES 2010 is difficult and well very rewarding. PES 6 got very easy after a while and it became too easy to take it around players. PES 2010 requires thought and wll those who have the patience for it will not be disappointed. A great improvement on PES 09 which will hopefully be the case next year.

if they fix the referees and the keepers...then will be a hit.passing and shooting should be better too.

As a brand new convert to PES (up until PES2010 I had only ever owned and played FIFA titles). I think this is a HIT! I own FIFA10 and the player movement is amazing none can deny that... but I purely play footy sims for the Manager aspect and PES2010 completely owns FIFA10... ML looks brilliant with CL and EL. The lighting and players faces are simply stunning (this coming from a past long time FIFA lover).

My only grip is the sheer lack of stadiums and not being able to change teams in ML and not being able to get fired (seems like strange things to have left out considering how brilliant the rest of ML is?).

But for now I feel like a kid in a candy store.... there just seems so much more depth to PES, you really have to work the ball around the pitch and when you score it feels like it counts! I may have to go through and edit all the teams to play a bit slower though because the speed of the player movements is a tad arcade like for me... slower play = means more realism IMO.

Looking forward to Daymos's OF! Then I can start ML with my beloved Everton =)

Cheers lads!
p.s. I think you need to put a lot of time into playing this game to see the true quality of it.

HIT. It could be seemed as a miss as they put so many false hopes in the game with their self-proclaimed new features. If Konami had just cooled off a bit we wouldn't have so many things to complain about. If I was a first time player of PES, then I would say it is a definite hit.

Year after year, Ive had faith in PES and KONAMI. I always thought "right next year, maybe they will get it right". It just doesn't feel like game I was hoping it to be. I play PES and don't get me wrong Master League is great, its just the gameplay which lets it down.

FIFA on the other hand. I've been glued to this year. It just feels much better and the gameplay is superb. Theres a few improvements to be gained on both games but honestly, Heres my verdict. Why waste £29-£39 on a PES2010 & FIFA2010 when you can get PES5 for about a fiver.

FIFA 2010 is better than PES2010 this year.

PES5 is better than FIFA 2010 & PES2010.

I'm just gonna get my PS2 out and play PES5 when I want to play PES and play FIFA10 on the XBOX360.

Going back and forth from Online to ML is the dream combo i have always wished for. When i play online against a simliarly lower ranked teams at the Amsterdam Arena the matches are seriously fun and on the edge of your seat stuff. This game has already taken 50 hours off me and im getting COD on saturday so my life will pretty much end then. Omg 5 more days!

I could wait if i had to because pes is so good but its too tempting. I have to shell out £50 cash to get it aswell. The worst thing im working till 8 so im gonna be annoyed. As if working is shit enough i have arguably the greatest game ever made sitting at home not being played. Christ sunday is basically gonna be a cod-fest.

Miss!

I think it's a miss.

It's so unresponsive compared to PES 2008 and 2000.

Dribbling is extremely difficult because of the 360 dribbling.

There is too much of a difference between regular difficulty and professional. At regular I beat Brazil 8-0, in professional I could just about beat Egypt 1-0.

The defences are way too tightly packed, which means it's hard to score goals.

Referee blows for minor fouls but hardly ever gives blatent penalties.

I'll give it some more time, otherwise it's back to 2008 or 2009 which were fun games.

And you didnt play online?? wow, online is great now. no more laggy games unless you are on wireless. Also, you hardly see messi dribble many players, at most 2-3 players then he gets owned.

How can anyone say this feels like a sim when the speed of play is breakneck and completely unrealistic? That's what FIFA used to be when it was slagged off for being an arcade game.

Here we ago again more nonsense from Don...:eek:hmy: i just hope konami never listen to this guy..go on Don book me again i disagree with you.

Its gotta be a hit full stop. Just imagine 2008 and 2009 were never released, we'd all be screaming from roof tops at how good this game is but because 08/09 were so bad everyones got issues with the series and takes everything with a pinch of salt. Its pes 6's daddy now and its blatently a quality game in so many aspects that not only is it a hit its arguably the best Pes we've ever played.
