PES 2010 online button lag

Hi Guys

I am new here and recently bought PES2010, having played fifa and PES2009 before (not online though)

I went online just now to play a game for the first time, and there is really poor button lag to the point that it is totally unplayable.

Is there anything that i have forgotten to do or setup?

I am currently using a wired connection through HomePlugs, and have a line of upto 8meg, usually getting a good 6-7 at off-peak and 3-4 off?

If any of you can help that would be great - I am starting to think that jumping online was a bad idea?! lol.

How come that player i played against managed to move freely and score at ease - on more than 6 occasions.

I may not be the best player in the world - But that was ridiculous!

Is there any fix for that, or is the only answer - not to play online?

I went on last night for a bit and it seems to play fine off peak, I have a funny feeling sky have been throttling my line at peak times, after a little investigation it looks like i was right...

Just have to play late online

it depends on you and your player's connection, the rest are just variables. i find you will never get a perfect lag free game from a player from a different continent. i'm based in australia and when i play guys in europe, these games range from playable lag to completely unplayable. however if i play a guy in australia, i will get a perfect, lag free game. even playing against players in asia will almost get lag free games.

i guess if both players have decent connection then it depends on geography,

cause i am seriously disappointed with my first ever online experience
the lag is really bad

online play truly sux in my opinion
lost more than half my games cause the game is lagging


we won't start on the ppls who play online playing the same way and with the same teams over and over

Sorry but online is terrible, I focused on the master league and it presents enough of a challenge without the frustration of online (although the AI is dull).

I found that in my particular case - it was more to do with my ISP (Sky) blocking my line 'speed management' apparently.

I bought Fifa on the cheap in Tesco for £25 yesterday and played that online - and although it was a little 'jumpy' at times, it was 95% playable.

I prefer to play Pro Evo, we just need PES2010 to improve the online side of things, from what i can gather they have never really had a lag free online game? Surely if Fifa can manage it, then Konami can?

hello m8 sounds like we got the same isp set up..come 11:30pm pes is perfect online for me but before that well it's fingers x'd and hope for the best....

ps:- why do sky block the line speed at peak time???

Although pes is still better in my opinion,I have have started playing fifa10 online because you hardly ever get any lag.
Nearly every Pes game online I played had lag and I got cheesed off with the amount of games I lost due to this,if you play Fifa with the controls set to manual its at least similar to pes and will have to do for me until Konami sort there shit out and give us decent online play.

I have both Fifa and PES, I would really like to see PES online games as flawlessly as FIFA online games... But, still better. Just make sure you choose to play agains people with green or yellow connections.
I had twice that button lag but it was mainly because I was playing against someone in Brazil, it was unplayable it end up with a "the connection has worsen" message and it quit.

The button lag is horrendous im getting smacked by kids who use Ronaldo as a one man army. I simply cant tackle the superstars.

I lose many games and its obvious that im better than most players which is shown by the possesion play that I vary whereas these kids just take superteams and fastrunners.

I have been playing most games with Nigeria not a bad team but come on Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter, Man Urs, Spain, England and France have been my oponents.

Only one guy picked Ghana and Ivory Coast.

But the lag is making me sick.

This "Online lag" issue is getting to be a pain in the Ass.

I currently have 7MB broadband and you would think that i could get a decent game most of the time. Not a chance. Apparently, if you go to the official PES gaming site and seek out how to prevent button lag, it will give you the min download, upload and ping.
Seems my button lag is down to my Broadband provider. Throttling- or something like that is what is hampering my online PES experience, causing crap download and upload. My ping is weak aswell. So, you might want to check your broadband and see if it can be sorted.
By the way, i share my broadband line (at peak times) with another 28 people????????????????
