Hi all,

For those of you out there that have played PES on a PC could I have your feedback with regards to your experience with (1) The 2010 demo (2) 2008/2009 PES.

I have been playing the 2010 demo on Playstation 3 and although lots of room for improvements I am quite happy with it, also tried Winning Eleven demo and yes that is slightly better BUT I'm wondering if I should buy for my PC this year.

I downloaded the PES 2010 demo last night and was hugely impressed with the graphics, I am lucky to own a high end PC with a powerful graphics card but was still shocked by how much better the graphics were compared to PS3 - I mean totally gobsmacked - every single detail looked chrystal clear!!

Now what I haven't done is played it yet - can I expect it to run as well as on the PS3? because if so i will not hesitate to buy it for my PC.

Also, I understand that it is possible to get much better updates/patches etc on the PC so again is this true and does it make the PES2010 experience that much better?

Any thoughts and comments please.

Thanks.

I have an XBOX 360. but I refuse to get PES on it b/c of the unfortunate lack of license Konami has (though it is way better than before.) With PES on the PC, I can utilize the many patches and files from the PES gaming community to have update jerseys, rosters, face, boots, chants, ect,.. I personally use the one from gamingaccess.com, but each to their own.

I do think you can do some editing for PS3, so you may be okay.

PC is heaven for editing, but as for playing I prefer PS3. This year I will be getting both.

PS3 is the best for PES.

I played PES2009 on PC too. It had good graphics but I prefer PS3 version much better.

My own opinion though.

it depends what pc setup you got .
if its just a standard setup on a pc screen id say get the console version because pes imo is best played when comfy and relaxed not face up to a pc screen whats best for fps etc

It depends how you play I think.

I have a good PC too but I'd never get it on PC.

I like to play on the TV. Much bigger screen. Better for multiplayer with friends.

Editing is obviously better on PC though.

So I just think it depends on you.

Well for the PC you can patch and add cool stuff. And yes the graphics will be better. Not really by much though.
If you have a big full HD TV (or at least HD READY) the game is awesome aswell (graphics wise). You need a big HDTV to fully experience games on ps3.
Also on ps3, you get a really good edit mode (importing PNGS for kits is great).

If it's graphics on the PS3 you're worried about I use a HDMI cable and it made a HUGE difference to the look of the graphics. Had PES2009 on PC and it looked nice but something was just not right with gameplay. Moved to P3 and gameplay was there but not as ggod graphics - until I got the HDMI cable connection - much better.

PS3 for me

Well I have a Nvidia 295 GTX graphics card with sound blaster playing on a very fast
overclocked PC upto 4ghz and using a Sony HD 32 inch screen for PC gaiming.

I also have a PS3 and play that on a 43inch Plasma Pioneer which is a stunning
TV but I can't help but feel the colours / clarity is better on the Sony - the graphics look truly awesome on the smaller set - maybe I have the set up wrong on the Pioneer.

I think I will just have to buy it on both formats and see how it goes - I suppose at least this way I can play the PC when the old lady is watching Eastenders etc!!

Thanks for the feedback.

YES let me say this , if u got decent p.c then BUY P.C version .

Cheaper , full editing and patch from all users . Do watever u want . Full Experience from P.C version .

You can hook up the DVI OR HDMI cable from your laptop to big HDTV and play on that .It is incredible . This is how I play .

PS3 I also buy to play Online in U.S.A

P.C FOR European servers

I think PES on the PC looks amazing, Ive recently built my PC so will deff. be getting it for PC this year (First time since PES6) but I will also get it on the PS3 as my other half takes up half the time on the pc with Facebook & Sims3  lol.

The editing is a lot better on PC and will always be. Dont know if any of you have installed the patches for the demo? I have the premiership patch so I can play the demo with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man u, Man C & Spurs.

PC is the true gaming station, the others are just cheap spin offs to fool more money out of you :p

True that!

i was a big playstations fan, but once i got myself the right pc setup for games i'll never go back. it just dont compare;)
