PES 2011 - First impressions

On first sight , I think that the player models looks better now. Unfortunately, we didn`t see any saves by GK. It seems that they react more natural also. Thing that concerns me is that players again shoot hard and grounded balls (I just loved the old system where you must work out your position to shoot or the gauge will fill quicker and ball will go higher ).
In real match, more often are seen the shoots with high arc!

KONAMI is gambling with this new gauge system. I am not talking about benefits of new gauges, but of positioning. It should be optional.

I appeal KONAMI to:
-- make left analogue strict for moving the player with basic moves, w/o additional feints when changing direction (and right one for feint moves)

-- invent new menu. I don`t like the idea confirming with :x: before moving right or left, or selecting the kicker. AND PLEASE WHY player abilities covers list of other players when making my formation.

I agree with you. I can just imagine playing PES with Serbian commentators :w00t

But that is just a starting excitement, i always end playing w/o commentator

been playing pes since pes 5
what I like:
good online modes.

what I don't:
pes 08, 09 and 2010 were arcade games on ps3.

pes 2011 has got to be as realistic as possible keep this in mind.

there are 3 things that I want in PES 2012; Motion-captured ball movement(ball physics still looks unrealistic instead of better players animation),better players reaction and better players coalition.These 3 things are major key that will make PES a lot better than easy-to-score FIFA series.

Hey guys, overall i like the game but one MASSIVE thing is ruining it for me. We all get used to the shooting, passing etc.. differences. But I fear I will never adapt to the new camera angle viewpoint if its something the game insists upon.

The problem is this, when you run parallel to the goal with the coventional view you run in a straight line.. with the new camera angle the angle of the pitch viewpoint changes depending on where you are on the pitch. Therefore if you press up when you’re in the centre circle you will go directly up the pitch in a nice straight line. However if you try this near the goal-line you will actually move at an angle. The implications are that shooting and passing in the two most important areas of the pitch will be different to that of the middle part, meaning an inaccuracy in each.

If the game offers an option to have a panning camera instead of a fixed one then I take this critisim back, if not I fear it may prevent me from enjoying the game this year.

First of all I like the game. Pes 10 was for me the worst game in pro-evo history. New one feels great with new passing system, decent dribbling and lots of new animations.

But there are things KONAMI have to work on. First matter referees giving advantage. Well they don't do it! They whistle foules which is good(still not all), but this makes the game less fluid. Second thing probably most important is artifical intelligence of players. There are a lot of areas they can be improved. Positioning during counter attacks, reacting when the ball is near, sticking with formation etc. Next is cpu. I play on highest level "Top-player". It's too easy. He still cheats with player speed. I hate when messi can't outrun slower defenders. This should be removed. Instead improve cpu passing and pressing. Last camera. People above said enough about that.

Well that's all constructive criticism from me. I repeat I enjoy this year edition. I'm looking forward for full version and next ones in the future!

In 2010 kitserver there was a config, where camera can be adjusted easily.

Hello

i want to say my opinion about PES 11 DEMO. i'm playing pes from the first series. when i saw pictures of Côte d'Ivoire players i was so happy that graphic of athletic, body was so improved.
PES 2011 is very good thing passes, shoot and other things is fine, but graphically it's really shit, same as pes 2008 or something, i can't understand what this screenshots mean (france, Henry, Côte d'Ivoire)

will pes 2011 full improved graphically ? i thnk you lost about quality, faces is same and etc.
in the history on the PC PES was best but today if you pes full will be same as demo FIFA will beat you, i'm really satisfied like fan of pes !!!
