The online experience at least here in Greece where I am playing my friends is great. Its a bit slower than the original (offline) but way way improved than last year.

Last I only played twice and never bothered again.

This year at least so far it looks pretty stable

its laggy as last year . Its makes no fun online i cant understand why konami doesnt make the online modus same as fifa. The fifa online modus is lagfree and same as offline.

Went on yesterday after a great week with ML. Boy the set up is a joke. Will try to explain again. Keep typing but anymore than 6 lines of text i get told i don't have permission to post from this site, so will explain in stages if i have to.

First off you are matched up, and then you have to say ok to except,the thing is there is no singal strengh bar connection to tell you how good the connbection is. So you enter which takes you to the team selection screen and now you are shown a signal strengh bar. The problem starts now because you cannot leave ,yep there are no options to leave if you see the signal strengh as crap. You must play or use middle button controller to return to your xbox live dashboard

So you play the game to test the one bar and it is unplayable.So the next i saw only one bar in the signal strengh i returned to the dashboard and booted up the game again only to be shown that i was given a 3-0 loss i the other guy the win. So basically someone with the worse connection known to man can play and you either have to play him or take a loss everytime.I repeat i saw know way to quit once you see how bad the connection bar is.It does not matter if you haven't even chose teams if you return to the dashboard you will be given a loss on ranked matches. I am still in shock by this. Also nearly every game in a lag feast even if there only 6 people on that server. And yes its up and running proberly because you are told so in a message before you start.

YES THERE IS LAG. You have always 1 Red Bar Connection and it doesnt make fun online. The Game doesnt runs smooth.

But to have no option to quit once you see the red bar is shocking.Tried to just sit there with out picking a team and a timer runs down and it chooses a team for you.Still in shock.Loved the master League but hoped that the online would stop me getting Fifa this year but if not sorted then i must buy to get my online fix

i have both fifa 11 and pes 2011 cauz i had a bad feeling for the online modus and i was right again. Fifa 11 Online Modus is really perfect. No Lag, Smooth Playing, its the same you play offline. I cant understand konami why they ruin their game themselves.

I will give them a week and if not sorted with the lag or the button options to quit then i will buy Fifa. Played only Fifa 10 last year but loved the gameplay of Pes this year after giving both demo's about 60 games each, which made my mind up to get Pes.

Such a shame because cannot remember the last time i enjoyed football this much in terms of gameplay.Strange thing is Pes only shines and shows its true colours after about 50 long 25 mins of Master League.

PES2010 was pretty lag free online! (US SERVERS) So if its like last year it will be ok this year. Get wired connection and it makes it 1000000% better!

At the moment its not exactly laggy but it slows down quite a bit. I still enjoy the online mode because it´s not exactly unplayable, but it could be a lot better. All games i´ve played so far had a red connection bar, so i guess this is normal at this point.

Bear in mind that this is the 1.00 xbox version i´m talking about and that the 1.01 online patch has already been released for the pc. I hope they manage to fix the online lag with the next patch.
