PES 2012 - I think konami need to play some real football

Hi Guys,

Been playing a few (almost 30) games now on 1.00 and i have a few issues that i'd like to bitch about since i suck

Attack:
i find that every CPU team plays like Barca (or is it just me?) they're passing/attacking runs seems to be top class (for any team). I love the freedom of attack in 1.00, it makes it feel more like a proper football match but then we have the defence

Defence:
Any tips on defending? (im currently on the R2+X strategy) but nothing seems to work. I don't win headers and it doesn't matter who i use, lucio or even vidic and are those free-kicks (19-25m) just impossible to defend?

I wont get started on Football life (ML) this looks impossible. Maybe i need more practise (alot more)

Am tempted to update to 1.01 but i think after reading techboy11's article on the gameplay rigidity of it is going to put me off for a little while longer. thoughts??

Any comments on Jenkey's gameplay tool? Will it really make a difference? has anyone tried 1.02 and 1.03? any differences gameplay wise?

any reply (besides asking me to keep practising and stop bitching) would be truly appreciated

I love PES and always will (no matter how good my friends say FIFA12 is)

Well I don't have any tips but you can go through the other threads. There are a couple on the same topic as yours. Onto the point I agree with you is that i think the Konami staff know little or nothing about how real football works; The thing that annoys me is that I beat the living hell out of the big clubs, all of them. Then for the life of me cant beat most teams rock bottom. I so far lost 2, drew 3 and all five of these games are played against teams the last eight from rock bottom. The worst part is I lost these game at home. Konami should know that home games are always the easy ones. I had a 100% away record last season.

I know exactly how you feel. It's amazing how the home games are somewhat more difficult than the away games :shocking:

I have a feeling i'm on the way to getting sacked pretty soon in my first season (this is the first time it's happening in my history of PES) which is kinda depressing.

I have checked out the other threads and have the same impression as most who have been complaining, i just hope konami listen or at least read some or a portion of it.

It says alot when there are modders like jenkey who are providing gameplay tools. I hope they realize this.

Either way, i doubt i'd be converting to FIFA anytime soon

Just got the latest patch 1.03

i just got the latest patch and everything feels right again
well balanced gameplay and i changed the gamespeed to -1 and not everything just opens up.
relly feels like a great football game again.
