PES 2012 not starting on PS3

When I went to download the update, it wouldn't download the data.

So I restarted and it won't even start up now. When it goes to download the 1.06 update, the PS3 just shuts down. And if I try to skip that step, the blue circle just runs forever down in the corner.

I don't know what to do. I deleted the update data from my PS3 and the same thing happens.

Please help.

Also, all of my other games work fine.

Very frustrating. I'd be happy to buy a new PS3 if this one was dead, but only PES has this problem.

Grrrrr...
