"Stone me, but I can't believe all the negativity surrounding this year's release. I think this is the best PES since the glorious heights of PES 6. I can do all the things that I love and cherish such as shot cancel, chip, one-touch pass about, score scorchers and do measured through-balls.

Since friday whenever I play this (admittedly I've only really played MLO) I can't stop grinning whenever I catch myself leaping off the edge of my seat, whistling at close calls or pumping my fist at the air. If no-one else will say it I will: well done seabass, well done."

I've quoited myself not because I'm a narcisist, but because I couldn't be bothered to rephrase myself.

This thread is dedicated to those who want to express their outrage at the negativity or simply to profligate the greatness of this year's PES.

-2 speed, with 0 pass assist on superstar using pitch side cam and this game is quite simply the best football game ever made. Not flawless but even the mighty pes 3 and 5 had flaws. Loving this game offline, for me this is the football fans game just like the old days, pes 2011 was excellent but not as polished as pes 2012.

Looking forward to watching some champions league tonight and then having a pes session, this game gets better the more you play.

I hear ya! Pes is great after a champions league evening. The only problem is you end-up not wanting to go to bed!! :lol:

Fuck bed! I'm off tomorrow and haven't been able to play for a few days so my master league will be getting raped tonight. Just need to stock up on weed and coffee now haha.

Fuck the coffee!! The weed is the job! The only problem with that is trying to play while munching out! Lol! No wonder i get my ass kicked! :tongue:

its as always with pes getting used to the game, learn it, play it, find your stratagy.
i played every pes all year true, yes some had there problems
but everyone of them was good fun.
and im really happy with wich way pes is going. i loved pes2011
and after playing the demo sick i cant wait for a year of pes2012

I think it was all code for he likes getting high as well.

Now to stay on topic, I enjoy the game, I have done things on offense I feel like I couldn't do in 2011. I really like hold up play, I like the CPU AI dumps the ball every once in awhile, I like choosing a defender with the the right stick, I like off the ball control on offense (even though I am so far away from using it), I like the more diagonal movement, I like better ball control (even if it is a little over the top). Of course there are things I don't like but I certainly enjoy the game very much.

I am getting annoyed at people calling each other names on other threads, not this one, if someone mentions they like the game. If you don't like it don't play it but no reason to be knocking people that like it. and certainly no reason to insult anyone or tell them they know nothing about football. I can only say this to those people, if you want better football get out of your chair, grab a ball, and get outside.

Anyway, last night played some great games online....now that i'm more used to the game i think it's great! Some stupid little things in there too, but you can live with those.

one more positive thing I was reminded on another thread, they hardened up the defense against through balls. No more repetitive through ball action, defenders step up nicely to intercept.

Pes will never be perfect. But it never was even in the haydays. My love for this year's pes is steadily growing. Already it has surpassed pes 2012. Haven't experienced any lag online and apart from the lavezzi/pato whores every game has been unpredictable tightly fought and just plain old glorious fun. I really don't get the boo boys!

They really have improved lag online .I still have button lag online but it's very rare compared to last year .The only problem now is when you do get this type of lag, it's near impossible to win when your using manual passing.

No matter all the complains, I still think shooting is pretty much spot on. Much more rewarding and realistic to player body position than in PES2011. You can't shoot screamers without a proper first touch to the ball.

Creating chances is harder but more satisfying, especially with no assists on, you feel like you're personally crafting opportunities and although defending is a bit too deep, i love the new idea behind it, maybe fine tune it a little
