PES 2015 Demo Discussion

i guess you played a different game. This is better than ANY PES on PS3 by miles, the feeling that was lost after PS2 generation is back, fuck a washed out looking pitch the gameplay is fantastic.

Well you've clearly said it there is no denying it's better than any PES game on the PS3 however that's not difficult especially when you look back at PES 2008 on the PS3 the game should never have even got through quality testing to be released!

However do I think this PES 2015 demo is better than PES 6 was on the xbox 360 and apart from a few things like the players faces being improved on the most famous players and that I am not convinced because as it stands the keepers are worse.

Also when I was moaning at the graphics it is because for a next gen console for the graphics to look like they do I dont really think it's acceptable gameplay might be pretty good and a lot better than Fifa but overall the presentation of the game is far worse.

I think the game has major potential tho don't get me wrong but the demo to the actual full game would have to improve mainly the graphics otherwise looking at the less well known players faces will be embarrassing.

Dundon's you probably know this already but as I don't think it has been mentioned in this thread specifically: the PC version is going to be inferior to the PS4/One versions. Basically, Konami doing to the platform what EA have done off and on in recent years. A "hybrid" of the PS4/One and PS3/360 versions.

To whoever it was that was harping on about the PC platform basically being a mess, stare at your console long and hard. That new thing you have, be it a PS4 or Xbox One, is being slated for how inferior it already is to the PC on a hardware level. It is also having its market share eaten by tablets and smartphones whereas the PC as a gaming platform has been evolving for some time with indie development and the likes of Kickstarter.

The PC platform isn't perfect but with the PS4 and Xbox One using x86 architecture, developers no longer have a good excuse for not bringing their games, at an equivalent standard, to PC. Piracy is not a PC-specific problem.

Aye man, read it only the other day and was cracking. This is going to force me to get a PS4 now at some point because even though PES isn't perfect this year again, it's definitely a big improvement over the PS3 version and I can imagine them nailing it over the next 2-3 years.`

Last night myself and one of the lads had 4-5 games and although the general gameplay was good, the goalkeepers are still a big issue. The long balls aswell have some funky shit going on too as in they're very hard to judge and look extremely floaty. The graphics look washed out but I can deal with that as long as the gameplay makes up for it.

I've just played the PS3 version. Only differences I can see from the PS4 version are cosmetic. Graphics on the PS3 version look poor, and for some reason :x: was the button used to select options in the menu, rather than :circle: on the PS4.

Hmmm interesting...

Do you reckon so it's not just a jazzed up 2014? I'm asking because maybe there's some hope for the PC port, the graphics can be reworked on that if they're pulling punches like they did with watchdogs.

Doesn't appear to be. I mean, I only played a couple of games, but I didn't notice any gameplay differences from the PS4 version.

I don't know if anyone plays the Xbox one demo of PES 2015 but if you do then here is some important info.

If you want to play with or against a mate who comes round you can't just turn another controller on as it don't work it's really frustrating.

If you want to get it to work you have to sign in as a guest on the other controller it's a pain in the backside.... konami and quality testing sometimes doesn't exsist tbh but hope this helps anyway

I'm pretty sure this is the same for all local multiplayer games on the Xbone isn't it? I used to play Halo 2/3 (or whatever it was) with a friend on occasions, and it was the same, so I'm not sure you can blame Konami for that one. ;)

I read somewhere that the PC version will be limited in the graphics a little (LOD or texture quality, not sure) but exactly the same gameplay of the PS4/xbone versions. (strange, as even a decent gaming PC is equal, if not better, that the latest consoles)

Aye, but I'm thinking the lads on that scene will release a texture pack with a full patch not far behind that. Least that's how they used to roll back in the day when this game was king. And yeah the PC version should crush them Mickey Mouse consoles into the ground in every department.

This is true if you want to play online with another person you have to sign them in as a guest however offline I never came across this issue with PES on the xbox 360.

I got fifa 14 on the xbox one as I couldn't get PES last year for it and you can just turn another controller on and select sides so I am not sure tbh it's not a big issue it's just slightly annoying but I could easily get use to it over time.

To me the demo seems to be a beginner version of PES14. I hope that is just because of the demo but:

- holging off the marker and shoulder barge are missing via the right stick, making for a less intense battle for the ball.

- perfect trap seems gone or isn`t listed

- same with knuckle shots

- half high cross is missing (same in Pes14)

- just holding down the X button to tackle is to easy, its like its set to auto mode also most times they will just knock the ball leading player down.

Why should I buy a game were I can do less than in the year before?

Its not that I don`t like it but if there are less options on the pitch its gets boring fast and feels like a step back!

A step back? Erm... Did you play PES 6 last year or something?

No, I played PES14 on an Xbox360. There is nothing you can do in the PES15 demo that wasn`t possible in PES14 and like I have listed there is even less you can do. So yes it is a step back in that departement.

They just made it easier to play, so more people can play without having to learn how to do it. Clever from a business point of view, not so good if you want a simulation with lot of options on the pitch and room to improve your skills.
I like the demo but it would be the wrong way if they would leave the things I´ve listed out just to please the dumb people. It would be ok if you could turn them off or on.

In othere news: why doesn`t Konami use the rumble feature? It would be great to give some better feedback during the game.

Well that's disappointing, although the demo is never a reflection of the game in the end, whether that's good or bad, it's usually a few graphical and game play tweaks they make, why would they remove so many features for no reason.

- holging off the marker and shoulder barge are missing via the right stick, making for a less intense battle for the ball: Agreed this seems to be missing.

- perfect trap seems gone or isn`t listed: I use R2 (PS) and it works a charm to trap the ball

- same with knuckle shots: knuckle shots are exactly as normal infact I am sure it has been on the tips screen a few times as well from memory.

- half high cross is missing (same in Pes14): not sure on this one is it not tripple tap of the cross button?

- just holding down the X button to tackle is to easy, its like its set to auto mode also most times they will just knock the ball leading player down: holding down X will only make your player press the opponent and with limited success, you have to press x a second time to make a proper challenge but timing seems to be key to take the ball cleanly.

This is just what I have found through playing the demo going to try the half height cross later but I am sure it is three taps of the cross button.

Yeah, its available now on Xbox live for Ireland, so it must be all Europe. You need gold membership to get it, it won't even show up on your console until you do, only online. Microsoft are filth.
