ive tried pes 5 and although there are some nice touches i cant get used to the fact that ronaldinho turns like a bus, and quick players arent very quick, the version i tried was on ps 2

i m hoping to get it for xbox ijust hope i can find a way around the problem of fouling too much i...

is the xbox version slightly better
also why do some shops charge 5 quid more for xbox version than the ps2 version

No, the other versions are the same. You need to get used to the new style of dribbling and refs.

i haven't received my copy of PES5 yet, but i was wondering whether dumbing down or heightening some of the stats would make a more enjoyable game. this isn't the first time i've heard of players like ronaldinho being slow...

then again, i'm definitely gonna give the game a very good go just to get used to it. i'll probably be able to answer this question myself... ONCE I GET MY COPY... #*$(&@#$&(*@#>....

the main thing i did to get used to it was
1. always use manual on the control pad chosice screen it just soo much easier to put your players where you want them

2. change the cross to type 4 this is also manual and takes a bit of time to get used to but its better in the end

3. tackleing dont go steaming in stay off the player and make him play the ball then intercept and takle while you are pushing him back

4.check the radar alot as your playing will be offside all the time sometimes even if there in line with the defence (offsides are the mose annying thing in pes for me players are alays in line and offsode is blown)

Don't worry about it... believe me, you don't want to mess with the stats too much yet. Stars like Ronaldinho have amazing stats. Its just adjusting to the new gameplay. I've had it a week and it was only Today i got grips with it properly and understood the gameplay. I started it playing 3*... but today i beat R.Madrid 6-0 5*

...it has quite the learning curve, took me longer then most people but i had a week off cause i had a flu.

The game now has a whole new meaning!

Well it depends on your setup and what cables you use. For me, PS2 looks way better while on xbox the pitches shimmer like water (even on an "advanced xbox scart cable").

Can't agree with that. I scored a goal with Barca last night where Ronaldinho was in the box on the right, turned his man on a sixpence, made the it to the byline, sent a sliding cross to Eto'o who sent a downward header into the roof of the net.

the xbox will always have better graphics - its a more powerful and advanced machine

teh constant fouling is hard to get around - i cant get out of the habit of constantly holding X, which always worked on PES2, 3 and 4
