Hmm... This've been answered before, I think, but I cannot find any "correct" answers, so excuse me if I am re-posting it. -_-

It is only the "PS2 X-port v2" @ amazon.com that I need to order to get the updated names, kits etc into my PES4, right? What's the difference between X-port and Max Drive? I need to order both of the packs if I want to get the updates, or is Max Drive downloadable? Pardon me, but I am just a bit confused in all this editing and downloading stuff. Any help asap would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks in advance.

Note: GREAT work on the kits, sponsor logos etc! It looks really good.

I guessed it might work but it looks like it doesn't. Seems like we'll have to wait for the 2 option file editors to be updated by the makers.

What this option file doesn't work for PES4 ona normal PS2??

X-Port and Max Drive are 2 different devices. X-Port uses cables and the Max Drive is wireless. You only need one and then download the files made for that device. Max Drive can be seen at http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=PS2&title=167036

Look at who and what I was replying to. I was talking about the option file editing programs. The file does work in the PES4 game.

shamar21, I asked about the same as you did, just look right over you and you will see Zygalski's answer. Also, this has been answered in the first post of this thread already, so you may want to take a look and see if that helps.

Zygalski, ah. I see. Thanks for the information. I somehow dislike both wireless and cables, but I ordered the one with cables, so hopefully I'll have 1 by next week and hopefully there'll be a v2 out by then. Thanks again.

Umm... something a bit off-topic, but this seem to be a very active thread, so I might ask it kindly here... Does any of you check the "Hints & Tips" section in the forums? I posted a Master League question, which I am sure that some people out there could help me and other users as well... Anyone who could bother to take a look, maybe? And again, sorry for going off-topic.

Question: is it possible to copy the memorycard files ,from your memory card to that usb device (Max Drive) and back?

Another question: why doens't everybody buy a Max Drive, it is a lot cheaper then the X-port and it does the same, plus it is wireless.

About this PESFAN option file: I believe they took names from Scorpio (because I can see the same spelling errors :D ), the sponsors' logos are too small (example: Fly Emirates and O2) - I don't know if this could be fixed, there are some strange austrian players in Japan national team
and real player names are far from perfection, not to mention that commentary for players' names from Czech, Croatia etc. is "number" and not player name, "double" players aren't fixed...

Tell me what you think.

Can i just ask simply what one is better max drive or x-port. All opinions valued. Thanks

I am sure that if you scroll through the posts on this topic OR this topic, you will find some opinions and thoughts which one is better. If I were to answer your question, I'd say that the X-port is better, since it's not wireless, which about the only reason that I can come up with at the moment... -_- X-port is more reliable than the wireless (Max Drive).

ziedaan, the above texture goes to you as well. I do NOT know, but I am asuming those are at least SOME of the reasons why some choose X-port, the cable one instead of Max Drive, the wireless one. But hopefully some could give a better informaiton on that than I can...

maccro, IF they did take Scorpio's version, that'd be a dumb thing of such a big and "popular" site as pesfan.com to do. They should've at least asked or informed Scorpio if that was the case. But, I really don't know anything about it, as I haven't seen any of their work for myself yet. I am just telling IF they did. And I am quite sure that pesfan.com are "professionals", meaning that they do original work by themselves and NOT abusing others piece of work. Oh well, I guess that's for us to think, discuss and debate... and for them to know the truth...

Please can someone help. Admittedly I haven't used my X-Port for quite a long time now, but I have downloaded the option file from PES Fan for PES4 and when I click on Import Saves & then onto the option file I downloaded it then says: 'Not a game-save file' 'Not suitable for the PS2'

What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help?!?!

Don't worry I've got it now (with a little help) if anyone has the same problem just unzip (extract) the file you downloaded in the first place.

what is the difference between the normal option file and the bin/cue version of this file. sorry if this is a stupid question but i just dont know.

Compulsion's editor can be found right here in the downloads section.

The bin/cue version is for those who do not have an x-port or max drive and do have a chipped/modded ps2 to boot the option file on a CDR.

Oh...

Geez. So... if you've got a modded PS2, you don't need X-port / Max Drive? Nice. Then, would you mind to link me to any guides telling me how to transfer the new kits and stuff from my PC to my PS2 PES4 game? I am too n00b for all the .bin and .cue stuff, so some help would be appriciated. I think I saw some guide around, but cannot find it anymore... Pardon me if I am requesting something TOO n00bish.

There is a guide to burning option files as a sticky in the General Editing section. Cd2mem is in the title. If you want to waste an entire CDR for each option file, that's up to you and good luck. £10 for a max drive.......

I believe Ratinho's file is the locked version. You need to earn the pes points to buy stuff in the shop. Just attached the max drive version of ratinho's file.
