PES vs FIFA

I'm a PES fan, but I was positively surprised by FIFA 14 on PS3. And I've read somewhere that FIFA 15 is the same as 14, just with few enhancements.

These were the things that impressed me the most on FIFA 14 (PS3):
- Manual passing and shooting really is manual, and the ball goes exactly to where you point;
- CPU plays surprisingly good in CM (Career Mode). It's been a while since I've seen the CPU being so smart, defiant and difficult to beat;
- You do feel the player's attributes like you would expect to.

Three small points that make all difference, I must say.
Hope I can find those on PES 15.

Fifa suffers from similar issues such as PES ...but also has other features that are fun.

For me, Fifa has been a clear winner for the past decade. Konami isn't even trying anymore. PES is still a decade behind Fifa.

totally agree here and its not just the licenses either , all the small things fifa takes the time to get right and pes just doesn't bother year after year. fifa 15 with the correct sliders is by far the better game, if pes had such sliders then the AI might seem more realistic.

The Graphics on fIFA 15 are amazing compared to PES graphics which are good, but not great.

PES 15 game play is better than FIFA 15 game play... PES has problem with chunky play and slow responsiveness, where FIFA game play is abysmal to say the least.

I will NOT be buying either on next release. It's now 2015 and both companies are incapable of releasing a good football game. This is a shame as with the technology available today, they (Konami and EA) could without problem release fantastic realistic games. I think both companies focus too much energy on making as much money as possible from each release, with a very poor product each time.

EA games realistically are never truly ready when released, they add a couple of patches which normally make the game worse, then ignore the customers for the rest of the year and let them wollow in self pity for buying the game, EA then have the cheek to promise a sensational game before every release, but it is far from the truth.

Konami had a great chance to take the lead over EA, but have failed to deliver.

Konami are trying to deliver, but EA do not give a damn about the game, they just want you to play Ultimate team and keep buying points to buy cards. EA are simply a disgrace of a company, if i had the power, i would not think twice about shutting them down, they do the same thing with UT across the board with all their games.

I would pick Konami's PES 15 as the best footie game of the year, but it is still poor.

I understand your points but would disagree that Fifa's gameplay is abysmal.

Fifa has the basics. Passing works, response is good, shooting works...etc. The gameplay is not the best but I find that I can actually play a game without pulling my hair out because lack of control of the players.

I would like to see an improvement in areas such as defending and animations.
This year is is easy to burn defenders with tricks. Only a second pressure defender can save your arse.

I like playing Fifa because it offers less stress than PES. Best selling points are the online leagues and divisions so UT is just one of them.

Does Fifa need improvement ..? Yep, alot.

But the game at its basics ..is playable. PES is just a hot mess.
