PES10 only opens in window

Hi

I have had a look about and can't see an answer to this, so here goes:

I can play PES 2010 fine but it only opens in a window. When you try to maximise the window, error message reads:

'This resolution is not applicable to the full-screen mode'

I have carefully checked every resolution on my PC from the control panel, and still nothing seems to work. My old PES automatically changes the resolution when it launches. Not sure what to do.

My system:

HP Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.2ghz
3 gb RAM
32 bit
Vista home premium SP2

Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2400
1535 mb graphics memory
256 mb video memory

Plenty of other high-end games work fine.
Am I just being retarded?

try to force fullscreen some way, either from the PES.exe shortcut or from the config file.

don't know exactly how to do that, but I've done that with other games, so it might work

doh! it was so obvious. thanks poohskij

made it run in 660x480 from the compatability settings
