Yeah I certainly don't expect it to be perfect, I really hope it's good! It's a really good concept, and the fact that you can play so many seasons is great, I just want it to give me fair ratings in the game in BAL mode, and I hope that it's not scripted cause then I'm going to crap my pants...what happens on the field must realisticly reflect on my players situation off the field.

I think it will be good, but reckons most people will dish it quite a lot because they expected something extraordinary...what do you guys think?

Sometimes I just don't get certain reveiwers/fans comments? What actually is it that they want Konami / Seabass to change about this game?
Ever since I started playing the Pro Evo series, ISS 64 to be exact, I fell in love with the whole feel, look and immersive gameplay that this game bought to the genre. Up until this, FIFA was the best footie game on the market since its debut on the Megadrive, following on to the PS1. For the first time, Konami made you feel totally in control of nearly everything you did on the pitch, from the control of the ball to the little flicks or tricks you could pull off to get that much needed goal. Ever since this game they have made little tweaks such as animations, cut scenes, different game modes etc, but have always stayed true to the overall feel to the game that made it so good in the first place. As the same with everything else in life, there are only a certain amount of modifications you can make to something without giving it a complete overhaul, or starting again from fresh, which in essence would lose what made it so great in the first place. FIFA for example is now a totally different game from 5 years ago after undergoing a complete graphical and gameplay overhaul, and it still cannot encapsulate what makes Pro Evo all that it is to us lovers of the game.
So the point I am trying to get across is this, lets all be happy with the little improvements that we get out of the game this year, of which i'm sure there will be many, enjoy playing with the new players bought in to our favourite teams, enjoy the moments when you pull of a new little trick or a slick move with animation that looks better than the previous game, but most of all appreciate how lucky we are to be playing such an excellent game and faithful rendition of the game we all love. Football.
It could be so much worse, imagine if Konami went back to the drawing board and lost some of the magic that has been Pro Evo for years and bought out a totally new game which just wasn't as good as the last 8 or so games in the series, you might end up turning to Fifa as it might slightly remind you of what Pro Evo used to be............. See U online on 2009! (fingers crossed they've sorted out the lag)
Enjoy!!!!
Great post there matey.:)

I wasn't trying to be a site enforcer, but as I've said numerous times on these boards already, it's fucking annoying coming into a thread when you think you'll be seeing a worthy post, only to find people talking about cocks and mothers.

And actually, I made ONE post asking you to take your pointless discussion to PM. The other was in response to you, seeing as you asked me a question.

Yes, back to PES 2009 we go...

I don't think BAL will be disappointing, but it depends you mean by it. Some PES fans are looking for perfection with it, so I have a feeling it'll be something along the lines of "good, but could've been better in so many ways".
Yeah totally agree, it's a shame konami did nothing more with the master league, but at least we do have a new addition to pes this year. I myself think it will be very popular.

I quite liked that review. It was subjective and he didnt sugar-coat the fact that KONAMI aren't evolving enough. It would be interesting to see what the people at PLAY magazine are going to rate it. They have been harsh on PES since PES3 if I'm not mistaken.

Oh yeah, didn't PLAY give PES3 70%? I remember being amazed by that, as PES3 was superb.
