Your question with regards to the change of the celebrations would be impossible for a modder to do, that would require re-programming the game. Modders just tend to do cosmetic things rather than re-write game code.

dang - glad i checked back after so long - Wolf - I was just about to start to DL the wolf_hook xbox update.rar - but was wandering if you were going to release your other patch soon - I would so LOVE the new commentary...

thanks for the reply wolf_hook - ya i checked it out - looks cool - and while i have been on these boards on a very limited amount of time - it seems fit that you are the captain (damn whats with me and the hyphens...)

hopefully you can release the new additions (IE commentary) as a seperate addon on to save on download size - but I'll still DL speed and time.

O and I look forward to any news on the A(ustralian) League if you have time for it too :)

still waiting for the BT to come through now heheh

Gave up on the WE8i patch after 2 straight days at 60 percent, there was nobody seeding it. Any other way we can get a hold of it Wolf? Thanks

argghh need help... i finally finished the patch and it unrarred fine... i copied it and the option file over to the HDD - but when i load it i just get a black screen - no initial welcome screen or anything... any ideas?

o i tried playing my orig version with the option file u supplied and it said it was corrupted and could not be loaded - thought this might help...

Need a bit more info.

I assume you have Pro Evolution Soccer 4 and not Winning Eleven 8.

What patch did you download? The one for PES4?

When you transfered it how did you do it? what with? and what files?

How did you transfer the option file? Straight forward FTP or did you use Saves manager as suggested?

I need a real detailed explanation of what was done to try and get an idea of what and where it went wrong. I am in the process of creating a web-site so my responses might be delayed.

ok i just tried deleting renaming etc and so far it works if i dont use the 0_text.afs file and the option file from your patch - one Q - i noticed there are 2 files pes4p.xmv and pes4n.xmv - where as my sys only has one - mind telling what the dif are? i think they are intro files but i tried changing names and the both seem to be the same...

EDIT: hadnt realised you had replied... I downloaded Wolf_Hook Xbox Update.rar via BT - used flashFTP to overwrite the files from proE (made a backup first) - transferred

0_sound.afs
0_text.afs
e_text.afs
pes4n.xmv
pes4p.xmv

with the option file I used xboxsave 4.5 - saved and then deleted my orig option file and them sent over yours.

The 0_text.afs file is the most important file you will have in this patch as it contains the kits, if you can't use that then there is no point. Also the option file updates the names of teams, flags and player updates.

I don't understand the need to change names and delete things, there should be no need. It is a straight forward FTP to your Xbox and overwrite the originals.

The two files pes4x.xmv are both intro movies for PAL and NTSC.

sorry when i said i renamed things - it was so you understood that I had backed up the original files - and i thought there were 2 different types of intros so i renamed them to one another only to find they were the same (as u said for different regions).

and i just realised that that file that I can't use is the most important - kinda sux...sigh....

The WE8 Xbox patch was abandoned due to lack of interest. I never fully seeded it as it was taking up my bandwidth with no real need. I recommend looking at www.ign.com they have forums there and a guy called salmon released an Xbox patch sometime ago. There are direct FTP links as well rather than torrent.

I also got ur pack and found that 0.text.afs will make the game not run and just have a black screen

i tried loading it in afs explorer to manually transfer some bits over and afs explorer says it is corrupt

so maybe thats why
seeing as the original was all rared up with no crc errors i think you may have posted a corrupt 0.text file?

dunno for sure. but it refuses to load when i try putting the text file into the iso. works fine with all the rest though
