dont worry

look guys.i wouldnt worry too much.every pro evo has had stiped shirts in the edit mode,so why go suddenly change now.i watched a demo from winning eleven 8 and there were loads of teams wearing stiped shirts.and no they werent all liscenced teams?so they must be some.

And so did every Winning Eleven except for WE8.

Konami really fucked it up, that's all I have to say. Its not only the absence of striped or hoops shirts, its the whole kits available. The ones in WE8 are so bloody pathetic.

The France kit (Adidas with the line on the chest) was in PES3 and WE7, its also in WE8, but missing one of the three lines on the shoulder, for example. The crappy lopsided kits, the "tiger striped" kit....etc.... Then our favourite, the "heart in the middle" kit. What sort of sick joke is that?! :mad:

Plus, in PES3, we had choices on the shirt collars for EVERY kit. In WE8 if a kit has collar, its will ONLY have a collar (no no-collar version) and vice-versa for the ones with no collar. We could even change the shorts length. Not in WE8.... This severely limits the amount of different looking kits we can make.

In PES3 (before Euro 2004), Konami had kits for almost every team available. Hell, I was also able to make kits for the Euro 2004 Nike teams and they look a hell lot closer to the real ones than anything I can muster in WE8 (which comes out AFTER Euro 2004) The Croatia checkered design is not there, the striped kits are not in there, and there's no sign of a pseudo Man United kit.

If this is some tradeoff for having 3 licensed leagues, then bloody hell, get rid of them. Give us a proper and more comprehensive kit editor. I reckon if Konami includes this with an expanded sponsor editor, then I'll be glad.

Seriously the reason why I'm so mad is because I dont know how to patch a game (spent a lot of time editing kits in PES3, it was fun too...), and even if I could, I dont have a DVD writer....:D ....so I'm left with crappy kits...

All you guys that have not played we8 yet and obviously not pes4, I wouldn't worry so much, I mean this game is so immersive, you will just be getting stuck in with the game. Ok, granted, lack of stripes is a bad thing and i cant believe they were left out. But wait till you play this game, tis the best thing since sliced bread....and sunday roast, hehe. Trust me, it's all bout the gameplay!!

I thought that striped shirts were hidden in the depths of WE8 but a coding error stopped them from showing? Surly this means a simple gameshark code can fix any troubles should it sitll be the case with PES4. And the point of making stripes in the sponsor editor fixes any troubles, so what is the problem really?!

I agree that it shouldn't come to that, but the fact is, that's how things are so lets do what we can to overcome the fuck up.

Has anyone seen any efforts at stripes made using the sponsor editor yet?
Post some pics here when they are.

It's crappy. Yes. Not that impressed. But did anyone consider that these certain teams are licensed instead?
We only know that the Spanish, Italian and Dutch teams are licensed, along with Japan and Korea. Even if there are no stripes, I'll still buy it, but it means that I'll barely ever play with or against teams with the certain missing strips.
I sit here, trying to think of a rational reason, but when you see kits with hearts emblazened upon them (which not even J-League teams have) I think 'what's the point?' Instead of farting about, put stripes in. Other than that, I'm impressed with the more kit types. They need to have a larger choice of captain armbands too. Where's black in PES 3? Honestly. They could easily add a few more number types also. Rather than last years, because Nike and Adidas barely use them anymore.
I'm quite intrigued about the logo editor as it's the first I've heard of it. Does this mean you can get the basic shape of a sponsor on the front?
The range of colours for kits in PES 3 was hardly inspirational considering in PES 2 you had a full spectrum to chose from.
I'd like to be able to create players from scratch and put them in club teams, rather than searching for bases, or making players with random nationality bases.


I am quite disappointed that they only added Latvia to the National team selection (other than Japan U-23s) I'd have liked to see Mali in (consistent in the African Cup Of Nations recently, and with higher profile players) and just some extra teams in there, like Israel (I mean come on, they had UAE in once upon a time). Egypt continue to be in it, why? What have they done recently? Algeria should be in aswell.
I'd settle for Latvia, Israel, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, Mali, Bolivia and Venezuela, New Zealand and Honduras added.
As for club teams, I reckon AIK will be in it (otherwise why put their stadium in).
I hope they go back to putting in Boca, River and co.

I've spent alot of time in editor on PES 3. The teams I have made are: Southampton, Portsmouth, Bolton, Charlton, Middlesbrough, WBA, Shakhtar, CSKA Moscow, Fiorentina, Villarreal, Rosenborg, Maccabi Tel-Aviv and teams I had made then replaced were Partizan, Osasuna, Club Brugge.

PLEASE KONAMI JUST DO SOME STRIPED KITS! THERE ARE PLENTY IN PES3, WHY REMOVE THEM ALL?

yeah they should up-date the international roster....theres some really lame countries there....hehe im only saying that cause i want them to include more european countries....like bosnia etc
