PES4 IS ONLINE : Look here...

Hi all...

The "Is PES4 online for PC" threads has been bombing this forums since it was announced that Xbox version was online....

But if you check the new official konami website for PES4 and look under PC, it says: "Features an network-mode, where multiple PC's can get connected for exciting multiplayer-modes"

And if you check the specs for the game it says : "*Network (TCP/IP 1.5Mbps or higher)"

*"Not need if you do not go on the internet"

I don't know if this means that we can play matches over the internet, but we can do something, in my opinion it's rather cryptic what this network-mode is all about, but it's definitely on the internet...

Check it all out on : www.proevolutionsoccer4.com

I'm so happy! Komani made the right step in the competition with FIFA 2005, now they have no chance to win this competition :)

I'm pretty sure the PC version will be internet ready, because 64k is basic ISDN internet while 1.5Mbit is DSL, besides the slowest network card you can find is 10mbps or 1000kb compared to 150kb of 1.5mbit so that 64k (6kb) refers to the internet speed most likely.

I think that involves playin with another computer not playin online but give it about two or three weeks and someone will make a mod for it to go online

Yeah but as proeveolutionsoccer4star say's:

"I'm pretty sure the PC version will be internet ready, because 64k is basic ISDN internet while 1.5Mbit is DSL, besides the slowest network card you can find is 10mbps or 1000kb compared to 150kb of 1.5mbit so that 64k (6kb) refers to the internet speed most likely."

Why would they write this in spec's if it's only network?

I'm hoping, but as i said previously it's very cryptic, and they refrain from saing exactly how it's gonna work, maybe because they are still working on the solution...

Besides there have not been an official statement from Konami yet saying anything about the PC version being online yet...

read the bit i highlighted with the black box. the specs are referring to connecting 2 pcs and it probably needs a quality network card for good solid performance (no lag between PCs) its more like system link on console games than online gaming. also, if it was online, wouldnt konami have already made a statement considering that the game is only about 2 or 3 weeks away.

like i said before it should be possible for someone to make a mod that would allow internet game but i doubt its an official konami online game.

No Online play for PC. It has been cofirmed by Konamy. Only network play between PCs is possible (officialy).

if it has network play, someone somewhere will be able to fiddle it to work over the internet...however it may be restricted to only a direct one-to-one connection between pcs over the internet, whereas network play suggests many-to-many.

Where did Konami confirm it ?

I work for a gaming magazine and have direct contact with Konami.

There is no online play.

What is suggested in online magazine is that you need a network card with capacity to support data transfer between PCs since you can network up to 8 PCs together. Since not every PC comes with the network card as a standard equipment.

Sorry guys for spoiling your hopes.

anyone who knows anything about PCs would understand the PES mag doesnt mean online but rather linking computers 2gether and you need a decent/good network card to allow for smooth gameplay

Well, in the past months I've read posts so many posts from people who have "direct contact with Konami" that I don't believe anyone :p Let's wait and see, if online play isn't in the game it won't be difficult to make it work with some tweaks

Well Milosh, if you have been in direct contact with Konami, do you know when the XBox version is being released then? Or when there might be an announcement regarding this....
