It says as follow in the pressrelease:
"Similarly, the PC-DVD version of the game, supports LAN network play and online play via TCP/IP connections, again allowing one-against-one matches with a hooked up opponent."

One thing I cant understand though... why 1.5 mbit? Isnt that a little high?
Then the Xbox-version also need 1.5 mbit... which is too high, I mean, some people play with 0.3 mbit or 0.5 mbit there.

Where did you read the pressrelease pls ? Thx

1,5mbit is recommended, I'ts better to recommend 1,5 mbit than 512 kbit... :p

PES 4 KICKS OFF ONLINE ON NOVEMBER 19

Konami's mighty footie series prepares to play ball on a whole new turf

16:05 Xbox and PC versions of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 will launch in the UK and Europe on November 19, Konami has stated this afternoon, the company additionally confirming that both iterations of the latest instalment in the awesome football series feature online play.

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 on Xbox employs the console's dedicated online gaming platform Xbox Live to "facilitate fully online matches", while the PC version of the game supports both LAN and online play over TCP/IP. Fabulous, although a minor fly in the ointment is that online play in both outings is restricted to one-on-one matches.

Pro Evolution Soccer is widely regarded as the greatest football videogame series in history, and we admit that the fourth instalment on PS2 has eaten up more lunchtime hours in the office than we care to mention. Boasting numerous gameplay additions and enhancements, number four also includes club teams from Italy, Spain and Holland under official license, another first for the franchise.

i recently discovered that the pc and xbox version is now being released on the 26th november. :(. although this could mean that they are putting some more work on the games in order for better online play, just a thought.

Don't think so. Konami announced the 19th november on their site yesterday, so why would they delay it the day after?? Whoever told you is probably wrong....

As well as a fully organised tournament, a ladder would be ideal for players who would like to play a friendly whenever they happen to get the chance. Anyone interested in this?

Also, I have a 256kbos connection with AOL. Will this be fast enough to run the game without lagging?

Christ ......... I've been playing konami football games since ISS deluxe on the megadrive in 1996. If I can wait that long for an online mode surely everyone else can wait a little longer........ :)
