Firstly, last night i burnt the new patched .ISO and it worked fine on my PS2! I was so excited! Ironic that "Beautiful Day" by US was playing on the menu. :)
All i did was edit Chelsea's kit to the new one and their emblems and the rest i left how it was. I attempted a few other edits of the patch things but my brain almost fried. :mellow: So I left it at that and i just wanted to burn it and get it out of the way.

So thanks especially to Zygalski for guiding me so well through this entire process, it actually all paid off in the end. Also send thanks to anyone else who helped me along the way in other threads, either providing me with something or helping me.

The whole CDmem will further fry my brain, looks very complicated to me and i think i will just create a new option file, i'm not bothered. All i had was edited stadium, club and player names as well as a few edited kits. I got through the stadium and club names in about 10 minutes seeing as they were all done (but not very well. Eg: C.Palace, Soton, etc.) and i will go through the players soon.

I quickly started an Asia-Oceanian Cup to unlock the Level 6 difficulty, the kits are fantastic. Also basically looked at stuff in the game.

Good stuff. Glad you like it.
To get the best experience, I'd recommend buying a max drive and then you can download the updated option files made to suit this patch and it'll save you any editing such as transfers and formations.

Few problems

Hey all,

I'm having a few problems with this patch. I used to use the patches all the time without any issues, and was always using ole's patch for we... anyway i recently got a ps2 again and bought evo and tried this latest patch. Here are the steps I took:

Using DVD decrypter on Iso read mode I took an image of the Pro Evo 4 disc and saved it to my hard drive as e:\pesoriginal

I then downloaded, via bittorrent, the Jonboyo patch listed at the beginning of this thread (jb30.10.04pes4)

I used ppf-o-matic and selected the original iso and jonboyo's patch and let it do it's thing.

It said I was ready to burn after about 30-45 seconds.

I opened Nero and chose dvd from image file and selected the e:\pesoriginal.iso which had just been patched by ppf-o-matic

I burned at 2x.

I fired up my ps2 and using swap magic, loaded the game.

It gave me the language screen and then the 50hz/60hz choice but then went blank and no further.

I tried three different types of dvds and still have had no luck. really want to give this a shot before my copy of we9 turns up, any ideas anyone?

Oh and also I got the image from the platinum range PES 4 PS2 disc.. and it came out at about 1.79 gbs i think...

I have seen that a few people have been getting the freezing after the start game options at the start. I have no idea why, maybe Zygalski might know.

But you have done all the correct procedures it seems, and nothing really should have went wrong. But the only differences that i did when i burnt my patched PES4 was i used Alcohol 120% (my favourite burning program) and burnt at 1X just to be on the safe side. Also used a nice, high quality disc to do the job and it all turned out fine.

That could be the decisive factor into why it is not working for you. Try and burn with a good brand disc and as slow as possible. You could try Alcohol 120% if you like because i never use Nero for burning games. Alcohol is the why to go.

That's really as much help that i can provide. Good luck, it's really a fantasic patch and changes the PES4 experience is so many ways.

2 people with over 80% and one who has just started downloading. If those 2 can share it with the new guy quick enough then when the seed is on, everyone will benefit instead of the new guy taking up the bandwidth. It's in your best interests to share as much as possible.

hi i just tried the jonboyos patch on my ps2 using the slide card it came to the language menu and after that the start game menu then after this there was a blank screen nothing came on. i followed ur whole pes4 patching guide zyg but i dont know y it didnt work because i have got pes4 there4 dont know wats wrong plz help cos i really wanna play with this patch.

Seeds Needed

Im currently downloading and there doesn't seem to be any seeds available im only at 16% but there are a couple of guys stuck on 86.9% which is where i'll get stuck in about 10 hrs, this thing seems to be taking forever to download??

Can somebody please help??

Yeah! Sure! Go for it man. I really don't know why the rest of us were so stupid when the patched game 'must' work on a normal PS2. YEAH!
So try it and let us know how it goes.



If you are trying to download then be patient is the only advice. I don't see why I have to yet again be the only person seeding it so I'll do it when I get around to it.

I`ve a question I have a normal PlayStation 2 that is not moddied or chipped can I patch then ( Make an iso of my origginally game and then burn it on DVD with the patc hincluded) But can my Normal PS2 read it then? Please answer this question and please don`t refferer me to questions patch i just wanna know if I can patch or not

a normal ps2 will NOT read any sort of copied disk. i thnk u shud get HDLOADER (Hard Drive For The Ps2) that a good alternative.

Hey guys, you may have been asked this question before but hear goes... When I try and download the patch using a bitclient such as BitComet or BitTornado it tells me the connection was refused. I have Microsoft Antispyware and Norton Internet Security running, could one or both of these programs be stopping me from downloading the patch?

It could be possible there are no seeds when you were trying to connect.
Are you able to test the program by downloading another torrent?
