Looks like I'll have to pull out of the league. The bastards haven't replied yet and I'm not buying a live pack to discover I can't use it. So if anyone could tell me where I can get a trial disc with the console

you usually get them in games witha 2-month trial free inside, but if you go to xbox.com you can get a 2-month free trial there, just go to the LIVE section

The trial offer with games ends before I can get an xbox and I can't find anywhere you can get a trial from on the xbox site, it says you can get them with games and promotions but that's it. Hopefully there'll be a trial in an official console pack released for Christmas...

I hope no-one takes the Gamer Tag that i want to use. That would be bad. Do you have to be Live to create the Tag?

you have to be Live, but not necessarily on a 12 month one.

If you could get a game with a 2 month trial you could then register your tag and no one would be able to take it. Though at the end of the trail your tag and friends list will be deleted you will still certainly be able to have your tag for the tournie then.

I heard from someone, that when games rental stores (Blockbuster etc) get in new games that when they put the games holders out on the shelves (without the game disc of course) that they sometimes leave the 2 month trial inside them! For Splinter Cell 2 there was a sort of competiton and there was a 12 month subscription in every 20 and my friend got one without buying the game or the pack!

Thanx for the points Zyg, i really need to get back to school and work on my grammar. you get to choose your gamertag when you start to sign into xbox live, when you submit your details online once your hooked up.

As for hereticboy, im sure there will be more 2-month trial offers at christmas especially, i dont see why xbox would stop doing them and im sure they will carry on!

ill sign you up for the league if you want, im actually going to stop taking names after this as the list is near completion! Only the people on the list or who have contacted me especially about the league that dont have an xbox will be the only people i will be allowing to join.

How ever anybody who can give me both an email address AND a gamertag will be still have the ability to sign up. If you also want to join could you also post me an email address

Also: If you check the site ive updated one or two things in the rule section. The biggest deiierence is that the league will be played with CLUB TEAMS and also that there is the problem of Purposly fouling to stop an opponent from scoring. As a red card cannot be carried into the next game an opponent plays ive decided that for every red card that is given to a player -1 point will be added to their points tally.

All red cards should be reported by both players when they submit the score of thier match.

yes its right that you do create the gamertag when you first create your acount, and that is then used as your username everytime you play!

the gamertag is your name on xbox live, just like in the forum, you choose your own gamertag for xbox live, kind of like you chose giggsy11 as your name in here. If somebody else has the same one you cannot choose it.
