Yesterday I felt suicidal. The game hadn't arrived and i had nothing left to do, except play its older brother Pro4. Yes i have holidays but i have a flu, soo playstation is my one answer.

I started the Playstation up, unravelled the pad and sat down. My mind however was set on Pro5. I switched the T.V on. All these strange thoughts started running through my head, Why hadn't it arrived yet? Has the post 'person' kept the game for him or herself? Is he/she enjoying my game right now, as in this very second? I realised i hadn't played pes4 for almost 2 weeks, as it felt tainted and wrong.

The pad remained griped it my hand as i had a quick search for my phone...
This was 'proberly' the 1000th time i'd switched pes4 on; so i just kept tapping X for it too select English, following with Start Game. I found my mob, and watched the Konami sign fade onto the screen. I cranked up the volume and was all set.

wait... snacks!

Walked back into the room, and heard the most beautiful thing ever...Pro Evolution Soccer 5 :eek:hmy:


Ran into my brothers bedroom... try to explain what i just seen... when i was answered 'ohh yeah i know, we received it on thursday'


I wasn't sure whether i was angry or excited. Either way i ran in, started a game... realised i hated what konami had done, and put PES4 back in... WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!



...It turned out, my family decided this was the funniest way to give me PES5.

nice story this is mine so
i wated for the post man to come and he didn't until about 9:45 and when he did come he said he had a package so he went and got it from his bike because it was pissing it down then he gave me the package but to find out that it was something for my sister so he went to deliver the post to the neighbours then i heard a slam and i rushed downstairs to find a amazon box and when i opended it it was pes5 and thats the only game i have been playing since last friday

I was told by Play.com in an email my PES5 was sent out on the 18/10/05.
..Hmm if it hadn't been for the fact my bro in law borrowed me 30.00 to buy it from Asda I'd still be waiting.
My PES5 that i pre-ordered from Play.com still hasnt turned up..
I am never ever going to order from Play.com ever again. They have my £30.00 and cannot release it until Royal Mail confirm they've lost the parcel.
What was kind of stupid was the guy at Play.com the other night told me that "I'm sorry your experience with play.com has been a bad one i hope you have a good night" What shite! He expects me to have a good night and i havent got PES5!
What was worse my PES5 guide that i ordered from Amazon turned up before the game! So i had a guide and no game!:(
But hey.. I'm sure Play.com have made loads of people on this forum happy and my miserable opinion of the company doesnt matter.
I have the game now anyway. I'll activate my consumer rights to return PES5 to Play.com and get my money back.

Is it their fault or the fault of Royal Mail? You know what those light-fingered postal workers are like.

I've never had any problems with Play.com, and only once had a problem with Amazon (who, the moment I called them, fast realised they'd fucked up as I was offered a free replacement of my order inside 20 seconds).
