Hi all, PES5 has been playing fine up until tonight, when every time I get to the formation set up screen, with 1P or 2P's, with different sides, cups, friendlies whatever - it just freezes. When you play full screen, only a reset will help - I've been trying it in a window with low settings and everything. I have previously been playing it with high settings, max resolution as my PC can easily handle it - anyone come across this problem?
PES5 has started crashing...

I've figured this out, it's a bug that at first, was too tiny to notice =).
I had the same thing happening to me, the game all of a sudden freezed at the formation setup.
After trying diff. things like reinstalling and blaming optionfiles etc. I realized that the only thing that had changed between the last match that I played and the one where the game freezed, were my replays!
I still had room on my "memory card" but it seems that you can only fill it with 26-27 files.
I created a new memory card by creating a "folder 2", and moved all my brilliant goals there. And now the game works perfect once again...

Just for confirmation - it was the replays, I saved 'em in another folder and it all works fine now...I doubt Konami are gonna get away with making a patch this year, there are apparently more bugs than just this one! They'll have to pull their finger out - and give us IP-IP while they're at it!!

Same thing happened to me, once I got to slot 25, came on here and then problem solved. Thanks to n4tor I didn't have to re-install, get anoyed and loose my saves, cheers.

Im having the same problem. Which files have your replays in it?
Your savefiles are located in "c:\documents and settings\"your username"\my documents\konami\pro evolution soccer 5\save\
There you have your memory cards named as "folder1", "folder2" etc.
If you only have "folder1", just create another folder and name it "folder2" and you've created a second memory card.
Your replays in "folder1" are named "KONAMI-WIN32PES5000", "KONAMI-WIN32PES5010" and so on, while the optionfile is named "KONAMI-WIN32PES5OPT".
So now all you have to do is move some, or all of your replays to "folder2".

Are the old replays still viewable? It seems to crash when I try to replay them now.

lyricl, and others - me too. I've given up coming on here too much seeing as there seems to be little hope of a full patch for the non licensed leagues at the moment.. But yeah, this has started to happen to me, too, and it was pissing me off and ruining my relentless march towards master league domination.. Grr!

Yeah ive deleted those files but the bastard thing still crashes mid match. Please does anyone have any ideas ? Cheers
