PES5 PS2 is crap online....

i am fortunate enough to be able to play pes5 online on the ps2 and xbox360
And i can tell u ps2 to is 1million times better.
been playing on xbox360 online since release and the lag from time 2 time can be unberable, theres no lobbys, u have real trouble sometimes just getting a match, when u search for someone to play about 4 people come up if your lucky and u have to be careful which 1 u choose to play cause 3 out of 4 will return a challenge not accepted or game no longer exists.

but what really pissed me of was when i had a bad run and lost 8 games in a row all my hard earned points slowly dissapearing before my eyes, but finally the 9th game i played brilliant 3.0 up on 89minutes and the tosser quit on me
whats the point
having started ps2 online yesturday and about 30 games later not one single lagged game to report and no flippin disconnects.
whether it be microsoft or konami whoever it is it needs sorting out cause xbox360 will loose its popularity big time
i mean i payed £400 for xbox360 and after just three months im back to the ps2 such a shame

online pro just gets you stress the lag is pure annoying dont play online now found it complete and utter shit how can it be a bad connection when one half is fine the second half seems to be the most laggy and leads to mistakes when it doesnt retract when you press the buttons

Nah, there's a bit of lag now and then, sometimes caused deliberatley by cheaters but there aint so much to make you jack it in altogether. it's rare in my experience of over 1000 games online. Playing online has made me a superb player capable of holding me own against any of the top 100 players. Playing against the com level 6 is a peice of piss.
Online play is also far more tactical, the formations that experienced players choose to use because they're used to them make LOADS of difference. If you rock up with a default formation against a good player controlling a top team, you'll be in trouble.
I reckon you and Zygalski are just shit against anyone human.

online is far better than offline unless your taking your mates on but as i havent got any mates i have to play online.now at 1st i also did feel that the lag was terrible etc etc but i just got used to it.i no you are saying you dont want to alter your game but to survive in life you have to evolve.here a few tips for you if you want them.pick a good team,find the right good team that you like playing with,i 1st off played with ajax and enjoyed there style but i couldnt work out why i was losing so many....i tried a few others man utd good team but i just didnt like there style so i tried arsenal and i havent looked back since.now im not saying the other teams are shit but they just didnt suit my style of play.other poeple may use them and be brilliant but they wasnt for me.tip no 2 always play against other poeple who have green connections you will sometimes get lag occassionally but dont forget they will have exactly the same when its there half.tip no 3 when its your half make sure you are winning by the end of it.tip no 4 when your not hosting the half evolve and change your formation to a more defensive one i play a 5-1-2-2 if they alter there formation then change yours always check what formation they are changing to.if they go more attacking then goto a 5-2-1-2.tip no 5 always use your subs as some of your player will be knackered.hope these help.stick with it.

You guys are so frickin lucky that you play in Europe. Over here, people know absolutely nothing about the game of football. All they know is how to exploit the glitches that plague this game. That, coupled with playing Bra-fucking-zil and AC-fucking-Milan EVERY SINGLE GAME, and people thinking that their 6 yard goals are pure skill, makes for a very unpleasant experience. The only reason I play is when I'm facing someone who really knows what they're doing, I take the living piss out of em. The thing that really bothers me is the fact that you know exactly what they're going to do, but you're powerless to stop it because of the lag and pure easiness to score...
Hence the need for a radically bolstered defense in the game itself. I'm not gonna buy another title until they fix the D... and the keepers.

haha, what a classic forum thread. sum geek threatens a guy who would clearly knock him out in real life. anyway.
played online since sunday, and i hate the fuckin game now. its such a loada crap when sum wank beats you due to constant laggies and daft unrealistic formations. i often wonder if the guy at the other end has a poerfect 10/10 connection, and its just me lagging.

I (like most) was very excited when it came out, online at last.
Firstly, no comms, bravo, bye bye in game atmosphere - it doesn't matter what game you play online, you need the comms to taunt, to laugh with (or at) your opponent, to chat about crap etc...
Secondly, the gaurenteed 1 half of lag
Thirdly, went round my mates to see whether he had lag . . . . it played like a dream. So all the time I was playing him, he was getting 2 smooth halves of football, I was getting 1 half of outplaying the git, and 1 half of clinging on for dear life as the lag kicked in
It obviously works for some, not for others, fingers crossed they resolve it for the next installment
