IMPORTANT:
NOTE: - I couldn't change the stadiumnames and competitionnames in the database, only the
playernames (but what's the gain here) so I chose to use the optionfile. It's clear
that you'll need the optionfile to run the patch smoothly.
- It's possible that when you change something in the edit kit mode the kits will
behave not as they should behave. To bugout this problem reset PES5
- The optionfile is MaxDrive ready!
- 1 locked optionfile and 1 unlocked optionfile

How to patch:

- Download, unrar and FTP or burn the files (0_text.afs, e_text.afs, 0_sound, pes5p/n.xmv,
default.xbe) to your xbox or DVD.
- Copy optionfile to your xbox.
- Enjoy!

thx for this huge patch ;p, i didnt try it yet caus I don't have the game but i'm getting it soon...
i was just wondering if i dont use ur option file, will i still have the kits and everything? and did u make some all-star teams? :p

It's best that you use the optionfile because of the names and transfers etc. Some kits may crash when you don't use the optionfile. No I didn't make an allstar team. Enjoy!

Note: Your PES5 version has to be PAL, if it ain't then the optionfile crashes before it loads! Well, that's what it does on my XboX. Good luck!

The Patch does work. Now i have finally more fun playing with Hamburg. Besides theres no AOL Arena..... ;b

Respect for the people who worked on this patch! It's really awesome and works fine. For a lot of people it is very normal that this kind of downloads are available but give the people at least what they earn and give a sign of respect!

HI there, I've been playing pro evo for 6 years but am brand spanking new to editing/patching. I have an xbox (unchipped), I have a Max Drive thing and I have just downloaded all 10 files above. Now what? Sorry for naivety but Im gagging to play with all the right bits & pieces but just dont know how. When you say "use the optionfile" is that included in the files I just downloaded? Sorry again but would love you forever if you could work even more magic for me & give me a dummies guide to make it happen (or at least point me towards a thread that does). Keep up the good work!!!

this is how i did

I downloaded PES 5 pal version, opened the iso with xIso, replaced the original files in the iso by the new files provided by the patch and re-created the iso image and burnt it.....(My FTP isn't working, so i couldn't copy the option file, but it should work this way)....You could also burn the original iso of the game and copy it to your Xbox HD (or transfer it by FTP if u can) then burn the new files provided in the patch on another dvd (it works better with a DVD+RW ;) ) and replace the old files in the HD with the new ones on the second DVD.

Third way is to modify the original iso with xIso and replace the old files with the new ones and transfer everything to your HD by FTP...

I can't help any deeper than that sorry...I'm not so good in networking and don't know really how to set up the FTP (maybe that's why mine isn't working :p ) Enjoy!!

You have the ten files, extract them in a folder (extract the first file and it will extract the rest by itsel'f; make sure that all the ten files are in the same folder). When this is done, get ur network working. If you don't know how to do this check this link (tutorials to network ur box with ur pc.

When you already have a network it's fine, ur option file is in the D drive (can be wrong) and is in the UDATA folder. You have to search the folder which matches the folder name in the 'locked' or 'unlocked' folder and replace it. Now you have done this you can copy the rest of the files to your game folder of PES 5. When these files are replaced you can give it a try. Worked fine for me!

Please replace the African and Asian stadiums with some others (eg AOL Arena) ;D

And at last...dont forget to add goalsounds. It really makes fun when u score against ur might and got funny music

How To Patch

Burn to DVD follow the Basic patching guide here:

How to FTP?
1. Copy PES5 to your xbox with this program: http://dvd2xbox.xbox-scene.com/
2. your XboX has to be modded! Either soft or chipped.
3. Download FlashFXP Trial here: http://www.download.com/FlashFXP/3000-2160-10037696.html?part=dl-FlashFXP&subj=dl&tag=button
4. Open FlashFXP and press F8
5. In "Server or URL" type your ftp address (you can find this in your XboX or router)
6. In "Username and password" Type your xbox username/password (xbox, xbox)
7. Press connect
8. Go to E or F depending on where you copied PES5 to.
9. Replace the files with the ones in the patch!
10. Copy the optionfile in E:\UDATA\4b4e0030\ or use a MaxDrive to transfer the file
11. you're ready to go!

Nope, I advise you to use this optionfile! sorry :s As for the stadiums and the sounds maby some other time ;)

Would someone be able to post a zipped version of the option file? I only have an action reply which isn't compatable with maxdrive saves. If you just use winzip to zip the udata file, it would really help out those of us that use action replay.

Hi Steve,

The MaxDrive optionfile is zipped! You can unzip it if you will and zip it again according to your own standards....
