i don't think that i'm unobjective
i think that i expected much more from the PC games this year and got disapointed (i'm sure this word is wrong:-D)

it seems, and i might be wrong, that most of the efforts in konami went to the XBOX360 and PS2 platforms
and that they neglegted the PC versions

and i'm talking about PES6, NBALive07, FIFA07

ok, so maybe the games aren't so bad, but i'm still disapointed

hope i succeded exlpaining

NoteBb, I say again, even if it's not your cup of tea, Oblivion is one of the best games ever made.. surely that counts? OK, it was XBOX360 as well etc, but it is an incredible achievement.

OK, yeah, clearer. However, most of these games are pretty much identical, or a bit better, than their PS2 counterparts, surely? In which case they aren't bad.

It would have been nice if they had started to make PC games in line with "Next gen" games this year, but I guess we'll have to wait. I suppose in this regard, yes, it is a bit disappointing - and the fact that Oblivion was made in mind with XBOX360's, etc, and is also great on PC, backs up this idea.

Oblivion - i never played this game, i'm a soccer and basketball edict

BTW - i think the gaming future is in the consoles, i'm thinking to buy one, it's seems a lot fun then the PC soccer and basketball games

well i'm going to whip on a slam dunk contest, maybe i would feel better if carter will break his leg

i think most of my anger is beacause of the problems
PES6 - i had the stutter problem
NBA07 - a lot of bugs
FIFA07 - i wouldn't even start

I hope for your sake that Carter breaks his leg!

Consoles will be good with the next gens tuff - BUT remember - PC games will step in line with them as soon as this happens because they will be developed multi platform. PC games will always be as good as consoles provided you have the PC and controller for them!

well the prob is that they charge u full price each time they release a new version like pes6 that only has a few tweaks and a roster update.

Its blatent robbery. And im not saying that Fifa is good either they do the same crap..but i do think Fifa ahs improved more than Pes on their own game respectively this year.


Honostly - you have 50 odd japs and koreans trying to improve a game each year im sure if they werent so damn focussed on xbox 360 and ps3 they would have releasede a better game for PC.

Big point - if this game wasnt Pes and was say an action game... if they only updated a few things and tweaked a few gameplay feats in a completely new release ... they wouldent sell a damn copy. Konami is using us!!! using their reputation to sell us a game this year that they have fair dinkum spent jack crap on.!!!

they are not the same ps2 graphics. higher res and AA/AF, better graphics. if it were a huge change from pro5, we wouldnt be playing it. we would all be complaining, "aaauugh its too different" there are subtle changes between each pes game. just stop complaining and play the game you whiney douche.

Personally I am really enjoying PES6, it's like PES5 with all the annoying parts fixed. Much fewer fouls, the ball doesnt go out constantly on the wing, through ball works again, passing is realistic (if you arent facing the right way your pass will suck), the players move more, the diflections are far more realisticly random than in PES5, and there are far more ariel events to keep the long ball useful.

All the people who were expecting a completely different build are insane. If they had to go back to square one after each game they'd never be able to release one annually! You cant program a completely new gameplay engine for a game as intricate as football in less than a year. Most games are in development for a number of years, and if they are any good their engines are used for sequals and/or different games intirely. Whilst they were making PES6 PES7 was probably already in creation. Fifa often feels like they go 5 years at a time without changing the platform, whereas PES 5 was so different to PES 4 that you have to expect a kind of revised version.

And concerning the graphics, if you just want eye candy then play fifa, the point of PES is to make it enjoyable, and as free/realistic as possible. Once a good patch is created this game is gonna rock!!!

Give the game a chance, it's playability that counts not first impressions.

Personally I think they've made a bigger tweak gameplay wise than mot people seem to realise. The way the game moves, plays, feels, is a LOT different to PES5. Anyone who doesn't notice this must be stupid or must have been really, really awful at previous incarnations. I'd say it's a big advancement in gameplay terms. I still think that PES7 or 8 will see the biggest changes, but still.

I have the pc version and dont know why im getting a slight stuttering whilst playing the game, although the game is DEFINATELY an improvement over pes5. My friend bought fifa 07 for the ps2 and in comparison to pes6 for the ps2, fifa is BIG JOKE!!! Seems to me they made the game for the xbox360 and just squished it down for the ps2.

I am a little surprised at how th pc version of pes6 turned out, i expected the graphics to be better than they are (playing on HIGH + 1280x1024 - fraps shows 60fps almost constant lol!), although it is better than pes5 but its not a revolutionary 'upgrade'...still a lot of fun though:p

p.s. No german league!:eek: except we get like 20 blank teams in others teams C....maybe the game was unfinished lol.

I don't understand how people are surprised about the German league - it's been known for months, and it wasn't as i you had to be a proper PES fanboy with geek pretentions to have found out! It was even on IGn and stuff I think..!

My problem is not many different things in the PES6 "structure"...
MY PROBLEM is the graphics... The players are GREAT, but even the "official's" team-kits (that PES has licence for them) are crappie with LOW resolution, the crowd in the stadiums are REALLY pathetic, the pitch is... "moving" (resolution/graphic card's drivers problem) and doesn't have TOO nice "skins", the balls & boots having also low resolution...
ALSO,... the difficult level changed. I've started the game with the "REGULAR" option, which is VERY EASILY to play with...
That's my first few things I've notished...

Well the main focus for all of us is the gameplay. And IMHO this is getting better and better every year. It may seem strange to you but i believe that the game worths its money only for this little reason. Just imagine how FIFA players feel every year. I was playing WE10 in my PS2 which is lightning fast compared to PES6, so i was able to see some of the game updates sooner than some other players who waited for PES6, so i was not impressed so much with the current version of the game.But the reality is that its surely better than PES5. Now about the graphics quality , i think Konami payed a lot of attention to the XBOX360 version but like almost all XBOX360 versions of games there are a lot of things missing compared to the PS2 and PC versions like stats, moves and gameplay things. So in XBOX360 you get the graphics..... in PC and PS2 you get the detail and playability. I hope the best version will be PRO EVO 2007 on PS3. Maybe its going to be the first reason i am going to buy the PS3.
