How about these formats;
------------------------------------------------------------------
FORMAT A
* 2 x Leagues - split up into 16 players each.
* Top 3 players from each league play the equivilent of them selves from the opposite league to determine the overall winner, second place, third place. For example:
Winner League 1 Vs Winner League 2 - Overall Winner
Runner up League 1 Vs Runner Up League 2 - Runner up
Third place League 1 Vs Third place League 2 - Third
Adv ~ easier to set up, the majority of people get to play each other, elements of skill, edurance and luck are needed. Winning will be highly pleasing.
Dis ~ still relatively tricky to set up, the play offs to win the league, may seem unfair.

* 1 X League of 32 players, with matches played over an X amount of days/weeks.
* Winner is the one who gathers most points.
Adv ~ everyone plays each other. The most truest test of skill, endurance and patience. winning is extremly rewarding in this aspect. A league table never lies.
Dis ~ Hard to set up, and will require extensive recording of results. with the amount of matches that will be played, the league will take a while.

* 1 X Knockout Tornament, where players are drawn against each other randomly, after each knockstage up to the finals.
Adv ~ easy to set up, minimal amount of matches played.
Dis ~ Huge element of luck, people will not be able to test thier stregths fully on all the players, number of matches played doesn't justify being a winner.

i reckon it has to be a knockout tourniment, a league will just take sooooo long.
we could possibly have 2 legs knockout like 2 matchs and who ever wins them goes through, thats in all the rounds apart from the semi's and final?
leauge would get too complicated in the long run and who wants to be thep erson who takes all the data and makes the league...... i know i wouldnt wanna do that

Just out of curiosity as I have never played on-line: isn't it possible with PES6 to play with your Xbox360 against players with a PS2 and vice versa? I thought I read that somewhere in an interview with Seabass..

Sorry about this but I am going to have to leave the Tournament, I cannot get the Online part of the game to work been trying all day yesterday to get even one match Online, but it wouldn't allow me to play a single Online match whether against a friend or someone else, so sorry you will have to replace me with someone, as I am going to either sell my copy or trade it in it's really starting to ***** me off so before I throw my copy thro the Window I will have to get rid of it.
