Player Development Questions

Hi there

sorry for using my first post to ask a few questions, but I really want to know a few things before I start a new master league with player development on, (I play with it off right now) I've looked through older threads to try and find answers, but couldn't, forgive me if they're out there, I'm a total internet distaster...

1) do players always develop along their development curve, or does performance effect their progression?

2) I've heard that old players get reborn as young guys, is this how it always happens or do certain random young players come up?

3) are these reborn players easy to spot, are they from the same nation, same physical stats etc?

4) do player's physical stats like speed, acceleration, body balance etc progress or not?

and finally, why have they made Djibril Cisse one of the top ten players on the game?

any responses will be much appreciated, cheers.

1) yes you can check the current progress over the default one in the 'development sheet' option.
2) its true but i think wich oplayers reborn and wich dont is random, also the future curve of that player.
3)to sopt them, in negotiations, search by group, newcomers youll find young players that come in, so if u check at the beggining of every transfer period you ll find them easily.
4)yes they progress in those attributes also!.
5) no idea.
hope it helps!!

1) Players may over develop or under develop depending how much you use them. If you have them as a reserve, their stats will rise to follow the develop line wether you use them or not. It may go a little under.

2) Players in their late, mid 30's will be reborn as a new 17 year old player found in the Newcomer's section. They will have the same appearance & names as their fathers. Their stats will be reset to whatever their father's were when they were 17. EG I bought Maldini's offspring and his defence stat is 83.

4) Yes all of them but Keeper skills unless they are a keeper.

and I haven't really checked out Djibril Cisse. But I'm sure he can't be one of the best 10. :)

thanks for the quick responses guys, much appreciated,

just one more question, does this mean every player goes through continual life cycles, so in 20 years the players will all have names that I recognise like Arjen Robben and Paulo Maldini, or will the computer invent some players and mix them in?

Also as far as Djibril Cisse goes, I've been playing without development so the players are all at original values, but he's immense, fast as can be and automatic from inside the box, I only play him one in every three games because otherwise the scorer's table looks silly....

thanks again

Yes. Every player will be reborn when they retire. The cycle goes on and on. I'm still waiting for Maradona, Crujff & Ronaldinho's sons. Lol.

Djibril Cisse...The guy with white hair? He's fast.

Hmmm....

Ajax squad looks pretty Ajaxy at the moment as I only started yesterday, Huntelaar is this teams winner of Djibril Cisse award for a striker who is bizaarely better than his ratings. The short-medium term plans are to make a 4-4-2 formation and to get the Great Djibril Cisse, Robben, Odonkor, De Jong (the RB) and some unknown CB, but I can't wait for the sons of Edgar Davids, Japp Stam and Patrick Kluivert already....
Just out of (self) interest, what are the young guys Anita, Sarpong and Suarez like in the future? I want to play them to give them a good chance to progress nicely, but I hate players playing on the left who are right footed, I really can't keep up those crosses to Huntelaar, that ALbert Luque, (who made a whole new award: the Albert Luque award for the player who's never done anything ever but who has amazing ratings), does so well.
Who have you got?

I would of thought that it will be the same as the past versions of the game, all players develop and pending on how they perform in the matches, stats rise accordingly. Ive always played with my beloved Newcastle United and in PES 6, turned Titus ‘Arsewipe’ Bramble into the best defender in the game. Its to have the patience to spend the time to build up the young guns - like Mr Wenger at Arsenal.

I prefer to stay away from the usual signings of Ronaldinho, Gerrard, etc and build my squad full of young faces that nobody has ever heard of. It keeps the big boys at big clubs and makes going to Old Trafford or Stanford Bridge and turning them over with an average age of 21!!!

Think of the shock wave through Europe when the Nou Camp, Bernabeau or San Siro is on its feet at the show you’ve just given them………….
