Player growth in ML

So I've played like 11 games so far with Malaga in ML. I took 1 young goalkeeper from the youth team. It's Fatecha, he is 17 years old and rated 64.

I was wondering, do your players actually grow. In other words, will his rating of 64 increase to lets say 70? Because when I look at my team, and then at player growth it only shows me this:

You can see the orange bar behind the player names. And behind 2 names you see a blue bar which means they are too old to increase so ratings are decreasing.

So when do my players rating grow? When the orange bar is filled? Like they get 1 rating higher when the bar is filled, and after that the bar starts growing again etc.etc. So that would mean that Santana would get a higher rating soon?

Hope you get my points because I'm not good in explaining in English

Thanks in advance.

well, although i havent played ML yet (waiting for a patch that contains championship or serie B), id belive, like in every other PES that different stats will grow on each player differently, and the "70" rating for example is an overall of the player attributes on each position, meaning that if the key attributes on the position he plays increases, the number will increase too..

As far as I understood and experienced from PES2011, that bar displays the current development, not total development.
It's like the experience bars in BAL. If an attribute needs lets say 100points to increase, that attribute gains/looses points each day by the amount of the bar. Here it's not for a single attribute, but overall rating.
In your situation, Fatecha gets "better" each day by ~10 points (just an example value). If the bar was filled, he would get better by 40points a day =)

And that strongly depends on the training type you use. I only played half ML season on PES2012, but lets say you train strength -> looses speed. The strength related attributes of your players increase. But if your player's overall ranking depends a lot on speed, then his overall will decrease a little. Then you'll see a blue bar.

I understand, but still his rating has been 64 for 12 matchdays now, so does that mean I'm not using the right training?

Yes and no ^^

Yes: Goalkeeper rating depends on defense ("technis" I think), goalkeeper-strenght ("technics"), reaction time (guess "speed") and strength. You should focus on those, but you can't, because in PES2012 you set training for the whole team, not single players. So just rotate each week and you should do fine (explained here why: http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?p=1831642&posted=1#post1831642).

No: It also depends on the player's development type (slow, fast,..), and on the co-trainer you have. The second coach in the list (same salary) focuses more on young player's development (easy to see: if you start ML with max money and buy best trainiers, the player's ratings increase like crazy ^^).
I also experienced, that a good match increases the values further, but I may be wrong with that. But it definetly increases better with gameplay experience.
And I also read, that young players develop slow in first season.
I tried a few seasons in ML. Fatecha developed differently in each. When I used him in every match, he developed quite fast to 67 (after ~10 matches). Now, as a substitute, he develops slow and is about 66 (mid season).

In master league if ur AC Milan and have Pato he will increase really quickly
What's the point of being milan where they are already one of he best teams in the game already.
I prefer to start in D2 so I don't get bored of PES quickly although I'll admit it'll take me pretty long to get promoted because of the fact I am 15th with the default squad.
I like Burchet though
