player has no renewal? how toload an old save?

I just realised my super SS player from my youth team has No Renewal.
I cant renew his contract this is stupid he's only been with me a few games since signing have I missed something.

he now shows on the free agent list? and says leaving at end of year no renewal??

I have a master league I saved some time ago.
How do I load this? I can see if I missed some kind of renewal??

I figured it out.
if you go to football life you can load an earlier save.
went back and renewed his contract in the transfer window.
watch out it doesn't tell you they need renewing you need to check
