it really pisses me off, but i think they do it with stats, like complete dribbles or shots to goal ratio, so if you score 4 but had 10 shots, thats a poor ratio, so a lower rating

in pes3 at 5 minutes of end i substitute my stricker and he scored 3 goals. and his rating was 10!! that was the only time my rating was so high!
But in pes4... it is really not fairly!! my stricker scored 62 goals in one season and is rating was 6.9!! :-(

My highest is either an 8.0 or a 9.0 with John Carew, I cant remember exactly, but Im sure it was a 9.0, he was the first one I got it with...but after that I got it twice more with someone else.

But I hope the rating system is improved for WE9/PES5!

To get a 10 the easiest way is to score a freekick in injury time when your losing or drawing, or score 3 freekicks with one player, but the can get an easy 9, 9.5 by just making one player pass all the time and make sure his shots are on target.

I dont think the ratings are worked by how well you rhink the player's done....I think its more based on stats. eg. how many dribbles hes made in that game and how many were complete, same with passing and shooting....if all your passing,dribbling etc. was mostly done well then you'll get a high rating.

That's true.. Sometimes if you are playing as a lesser team, eg Saudi Arabia, It's much easier to get a high rating. I got 8.5 for Almashal when playing my brother. My brother was classic Brazil and he beat me 4-2 but Almashal got a goal and an assist, and generally didnt give away much possession.

9.5 is the highest player rating I've got, is it actually possible to get a 10?

With Gervinho I had 1 assist and 3 goals today (I checked the stats and he had 7 shots on target), which brought him a 8.5 rating. Never seen higher than that though!

I have a PS3 and the highes i have had is 9.5 when one player scored 8 goals.
My matehas the same game on 360 and always gets 10's when aplayer scores 4 or more. WTF!

The highest rating I've got was 9 I think. I'm not sure if I've gotten a 9.5.

Getting 10 is impossible because you must not make any mistake to take 10,and that's impossible. An android can do this maybe I get 7.0 regularly with my defenders and I get 8.0 or 8.5 with my attacking midfielders and sometimes forwards. Another bizarre thing,last year I lost to my cousin 8-7 (I selected Paraguay,he selected Ivory Coast/we were making a tournament) and Drogba scored all the goals (8 goals :O) but he got 8.0 !!!! The game gave 1.0 for each goal I think The rating system of the game MUST be changed because it doesn't give the deserved rating.
