im sure many of you have by now noticed a strange swivel shot done when you press :R2: a couple of times when u are trying to run like diagonally with your back to goal. anyone ever scored with this strange, sneaky shot before? i always do it accidentally when im trying to quickly do a turn. it gets annoying sometimes when it ruins a decent scoring opportunity with a pitiful shot that is claimed by the keeper with ease.

once with roberto baggio on the right side of the penalty area, i pressed shoot trying to get a corner off the defender but he tried to lob the keeper at the far post and narrowly missed. i know also about the delpiero :L1: chip inside the area. see how several players, raul for instance, also have an extremely quick backwards-diagonal turn. very fast and very cool!

any more player-specific moves u guys have discovered?

the down-up R3 stick move to flick the ball up has also failed me several times, with my player doing a stupid backwards manual pass, with no power bar appearing either. on the plus side, [tangent1] ive scored 2 almost identical crackers, with my strikers (Henry and Agali) both one on one with a final defender, chipping over them (Woodgate and Cannavaro respectively), then sending a cracking volley into the corner of the net!

[tangent2] one great goal i scored with arsenal: Pires :R2: + back, hobbling on the ball, eludes a tackle, sees Cole run up the wing and sends a lob through ball over the defence. Ash then first-times the ball into the area, jumping in mid air to send in the cross which is dive-headed in by bergkamp!!

wow all that !!! i didn't know any of these special moves, i wonder if there is a list of them, how did you find out about them anyways??? i only know 2 dribbles, the zidane turnover when you rotate the right analog stick and the stepover done by ronaldo, but everyone does it :(

The swivel and shoot, I use it sometimes when I'm totally crowded out near or inside the penalty area.

It's a cool metod to use. But for the player, pulling off a shot might be a real challenge, with the marking defender so close by.

It's hard and difficult to find the range, to get it on target, and if it does, for me, it's usually just, not more than a feeble chip into the goalkeeper's arms :( :( :(

But works a treat occasionally, when used in excess, just turn here and there, frustrating the opposition, when at the same time finding space for a shot, and when the time is right, stop turning, catching the opponent off guard, and blast it thorugh the gap and into the net.

You know, this reminds me of the goal Henry score against Manchester United, when with Irwin behind him, he volleyed the ball over them, clipping over Barthez and scoring the 6th greatest goal of the decade :)

Total respect for the Frenchman :)

i found them on some website mate, but i've lost the link. so, through the kindness of my heart and the support for a fellow PE/WE fan, here is what i know:

the overhead flick: pressing back on the stick when the ball is mid-height. can be done infinite times back and forth, as long as your timing is right. (you can also obviously volley the ball after flicking it ... brilliant goals beckon)

double feint: apart from the standard square + x feint, you can press :square:, then as soon as you release :square:+ :x:. same thing with triple feint. hard to pull off so practice

chip feint: good move. pretend to shoot, make the keeper go down, chip over him :square: :square: then :R1:

sidestep feint: when u press R2 and sideways to enter that sidestep motion, hold :R1: and :R2: and press a direction to drop your shoulder in direction selected.

super sprint: when you press R1 to run, press :R2: and a direction diagonal to the running direction to run even faster, knocking the ball way ahead. good for skinning defenders when the timing is right!

Good luck to yas i hope this is useful information, which you would probably already know.

Speaking of player specific moves.......johan cruyff does a special "cruyff turn" that no one else can......basically you run one way and suddenly change directions 180 degrees and he does this awesome turn. Doesnt always do it tho.

Other players can do the Cruyff turn. Raul for instance (which I believe is what he was referring to in his first post). It's not actually the Cruyff turn though
