Player stats that are vital but often overlooked

Thought id do a thread about this as i was bored off my arse yesterday, so i tried out some $hoite offline in edit and training mode.

When i say stats im talking about ones such as technique and teamwork to name two, which people often overlook if their going to a striker as you would prioritise the three shooting stats, agility, body balance, speed etc.

I noticed that when i put on players with high teamwork and high technique, but often much worse passing stats and terrible shooting stats, i could start to play like Barcelona with players that wouldnt make the Leyton Orient subs bench! Bare in mind i made these players up, so they cant be found exactly the same in MLO, but similar ones, if not better can definately be found. The high technique meant that first touch and positioning was outstanding, and the team work seemed to make movements and general AI intelligence on my team soar.

The other thing i found is that the aggression stat seems to make up for bad form. Robbie keane has excellent aggression, and even when on bad form he consistently plays fantastic.

Just thought id share, anyone else has any info on this can add more.

I've been thinking about this recently too. Went through a run a while back trying pretty much every 10-15mil CF in the game to play up front. Tried Higuian/Drogba/Rooney/Pato/Luis Fabiano and they were all inexplicibally shit. Sticking with Rocchi now, 80 rating but he feels so much better than all the above, and at 3.8mil he's an absolute bargain too.

Some players seem to be so much better than their stats logically dictate, for example Arshavin, who Konami accidently made one of the best players on the game for absolutely no reason. It's good that players like drogba and Fabiano have to have some poor stats to counter their amazing strength/finishing stats, it does keep the game quite well balanced, but its so frustrating when you sign players with what you think are all the right stats in all the right places, only to find they get exploded off the ball by Valeny and miss every easy chance.

I bloody love finding players with seemingly rubbish stats who are accidently class, as mentioned above, Rocchi is a hero, and Dernis, a 73 rated LWF, still in my team and usually comes on for Arshavin when I get annoyed at the chances he's missed.

Another often overlooked stat is mentality/tenacity.
I noticed this most with Gattuso, who could steal so much balls off me, but hasn't a very good overall rating.(64) (with around 80 in defence and balance)

other players with high stats on that are:

casillas
puyol
gerrard
rooney
terry
carragher
del piero
sogrocan
overnoor
...
so maybe worth a try if that makes for much possession wins?! :)
