After not liking PES11 i wasnt in a rush to buy 12 so decided to wait until xmas to buy it, therefore ive only been playing it for the past week but i keep noticing that when the ball is loose i.e deflects off a player or bounces free from a slide tackle etc my players just stand there and dont move when im trying to move them toward it and if i try and press L1 to switch players it seems to cycle through all the players except the 1 closest to the ball. Not sure if this is just me being an idiot cos im still getting used to the game or is this common with other people?

I am convinced that football must be the hardest game to code; the decision to move and chase a ball versus sit must be difficult to deal with froma programing aspect.

at least that is the only excuse I can provide because I do not know of another sports game other than PES (never played FIFA) where this happens so regulalry. For Madden, NHL, & NBA players seem to move and react in a much more organized and realistic manner. But each of those sports games have players where decisions are more expected....in Madden players block a certain direction or move to the ball or cover a receiver.

Don't know why PES becomes such chaos however.

At least if its a game issue it means its not me being an idiot. I keep getting tempted to get pes10 back and carry on playing that as I used to have the odd gripe with the older ones but not as much as the recent two. Used to play it for hours on end since ps1 but play a few games now then get fed up. Shame really

It happens to me very little and I agree a football game is hard to code but to make a player not to react to something quicker isn't hard considering demo 2 (the most responsive game I've ever played) players could respond to loose balls much quicker. They made the game less responsive because everyone was moaning that players moving felt like ice-skating

Yeah, I imagine this is a nightmare to code, but this problem seems to get worse than the previous years, doesn't it? If it can get worse, it can get better. At least we know it can get sorta-bearable like PES 2010/11.
