Hi,

I Can't seem to find the option to search for people who are running out of contract. I managed to luckily get Kane and Berahino on a free by looking at them.
Is there an option?

Yes, there is. Go to Negotiations -> Sign -> Advanced Search -> List and choose "No Renewal/Free Agents"

It only seems to be free agents listed in that section from what I've seen, unless they only turn up later on in the season?

Since the contract renewal can be done only in the winter transfer window of the final season of the contract, that list contains only free agents up to January 31. After that those players that have put their contract talks on hold are also listed. Note that the players who have put renewal talks on hold can be signed on free transfer from February onwards, although they will join only when their existing contract expires. This, I think, is similar to signing players on pre-contract.
