Players thumbnail pics disappearing on game plan screen?

Since playing the game, over the course of a season in ML, I've had 4 players thumbnail pictures on the game plan screen turn into a blank one, as if they're a created player. Yet they are De Gea, Rooney, Ibrahimovic and Rashford. Now although it isn't much of a problem, they were all the to begin with, but one by one, ever the course of 3/4 of a season, they've gone. Has anyone else had this issue?
