Players to base copy before October update

Can someone explain why we need to base copy these players? I understand that they transferred to teams that are not on the game, so does this mean that these players will be removed from the game? And if so, what do we need to do to keep them?

Wouldn't it be simpler if the players to base-copy are ordered by team, starting from the Premier League to other european teams?
For example:

OGC Nice (Ligue 1):
Franck Dja Djédjé (Tchernomorets Odessa -Ukraine)
Kévin Malaga (Coventry - England/League One)
Serge Nyuiadzi (CSKA Sofia - Bulgaria)
Abraham Guié Guié (Lausanne-Sport - Switzerland)

which would be followed by PSG and so on.
Nothing too fancy but I'd say it would make the list easier to use, presets in red to make them stand out, it'd be nice to have something for every team as some (like me) want to base copy everybody, especially with 160 slots.

do the following: you go to create a player; the last option when on the created player menu is base copy a player; you chose this and then you search for the player you want; when you select a player, the new created players will be exactly like him, from name to face, from abilities to positions, from movement to acessories

Ross Barkley has gone to Shefield Utd on loan from Everton, he is a hot prospect in real life, and may also be on this game, would be a shame to lose a promising youngster for ML.
